I believe the breed you have is a large breed. I've never had a big dog but I had the same problem with my Terri/poo. It just took some time a pacicents and very short walks. but dont stop. One thing that helped Diego is I carred him for a bit and then we would walk away from the house. but if you dog is too big for that try using a harness insted of a leash he might not like it aroun his neck. and have treats in your pocket. for when he is walking he'll get the idea dont worry hes still young.
