I don't think you are weird at all. If you are like I am my pets are members of my family and I love them dearly. In time your greif will pass and will most likely be replaced with all the memories of the wonderful times you shared with your pet. Just don't give up hope or faith, and if you want I know there are others out their just waiting for you to give them a home filled with love.
