New message board- Okpofe Town Hall

February 9 2004 at 9:38 AM

Brethren,

I have created two rooms here in Okpofe Town hall to enable us meet, greet, chat and share information. The chat room is essentially for 'live' discussion and could be used for meetings. For now, it will be opened on request. The second room is actually a message board. Messages posted to the board or forum will remain on the page until they are deleted. Please remember that the forum is open and accessible to any and every one who has access to the Internet. It is therefore imperative that we exercise caution in the type of information we publish here. Also, because we respect each other, we will not use abusive languages when posting or responding to posts. As the moderator, I will delete any article that falls within my ‘bad post’ threshold. I will also ban repeat users of offensive words or languages from participating in the forum.

Now, go ahead and enjoy this town hall. Raise issues and respond to posts contributed by others. I only ask that you clearly identify yourself and where possible, leave contact information.

February 24 2004, 1:17 AM

I sincerely appreciate and congratulate you for a job well done. This is a right and bold step towards projecting the image of Okpofe, and at the same time facilitating communication which is a sine-qua-non to our growth, unity and well-being.

Be rest assured that we will all join in making Okpofe a great place for us in this generation and the generation unborn.

Once more, Congratulations.

Welcome to the Town Hall

February 24 2004, 5:40 PM

Cajy,

Good to know that you visited the Town Hall. Please visit often and feel free to contribute. It's people like you who will make this website interesting. My goal is to make this site the best of its kind on the Internet. I am therefore open to ideas and constructive criticism. You will notice that ‘About Okpofe’ page has not been uploaded. I am currently writing that page, and could use some assistance in putting together, a fact based history of Okpofe town. Again, thanks for coming around.

THE ONE WITH THE BIG HEART

February 29 2004, 9:48 AM

Dede Inno,

Greatness is not defined by a Man's size, weight and height, but by his capacity to do good. In these days of the rat race for dollars and the good life. It is heartening to see that you are devoting your time and resources to the service of your people.

It might take some time to appreciate this effort. It is also a big challenge to populate this site with historical and cultural perspectives of the mordern day Nigerian cum Okpofe and greater Mbaise experince, given your location in God's own Country. I will therefore suggest that working with the locals and authorities in Okpofe, the history of your people, authenticated by the EZE and his Cabinet should be as a matter of urgency published at this site.

I also enjoin all readers to please share their early life growing up experince in the Village on this site. The kleglights of Mahattan and the hanging bridges all around you are good sites to behold. None however can equate the feel and joy of the mid summer night EGWU OWA, Nncho (hid and seek)and the stories of our Elders.

We are watching history unfold and this is my great joy. I have book marked this site and will do anything to make is progress. My prayer is that the Lord should NOT allow his servants depart, now that great things are unfolding.

I look forward to the realisation of the dream of uplifting human race vide this site.

Ndewoo,
The crazy one.

A true son of the soil.

Nali Crazy!

A true son of Ife and a naturalized citizen of Okpofe. Welcome to Okpofe Town Hall. Your note puts in clear perspective, the primary reason for the creation of okpofe.com. Preservation of history should be just as important as the making of history itself. Ultimately, Okpofe.com will project Okpofe, Ezinihitte, and Mbaise in general. Your contribution of ideas will be highly appreciated.

Chuma,

It is nice reading from you through this novel forum. It is also gladdening to note that you pick geniune interest in the affairs of our community by identifying with this progressive and innovative project. You know, we have our own Philip Emeagwali in the person of Inno. The guy has done us good and proud.

Chuma, you have always been one of us and as such I am not wrong if I address you as "Nwanne Di Na Mba".

I did not have any iota of doubt inmy mind that the town hall is going to bring all of us of like and progressive mind together soon.

We will surely make use of this opportunity for real good.

Cheers and my regards to your family.

Dee Inno,

I want to thank God for people like you who make Okpofe citizens proud by their personal effort and hard work.

when I got the Website of Okpofe and viewed the Pictures of events during the burial of our dearly beloved EZE MODESTUS ANYANKAH,which I could not attend due to my study programme in Belgium,I could say nothing other than to offer a prayer ''MADU DIKA GI AKOLAKWALA OKPOFE''Amen.

Unbehalf of the Nwaekwe family,I wish to thank you very sincerely for keeping Okpofe Sons and Daughters abreast of events within Mbaise and Okpofe in particular, and for creating a forum where Okpofians can contribute opinions of Development for general consumption.

I pray GOD Almighty to grant unto the SOUL of Eze E.M.C.Anyankah and All Those Who have died in the Faith of CHRIST eternal repose until the Parousia.Together with All Those Whose Faith is Known unto GOD alone,May HE grant US with THEM a share in HIS eternal Kingdom,Amen.

It is also my sincere prayer that GOD will at the Fullness of time BLESS OKPOFE COMMUNITY with another HUMBLE and OPEN-HEARTED Traditional Ruler who would strive to keep high the diaden of PEACE,UNITY and DEVELOPMENT which distinguish Okpofe from other communities.

Rev. Nwaekwe,

Thanks for stopping by and for your commentary.
Obviously okpofe.com is receiving international awareness and visibility. I’m also glad that it is fast becoming an enabling tool and point of contact for us to meet, greet and share- exactly the reason for which it was created.
As I always state, I am open to contributions of all types, including comments, questions and even sarcastic remarks. They will all help one way or another to make this an enriching site for our people around the globe.

I implore you and all other religious men and women in Okpofe and in the Diaspora to lead crusade for God’s guidance and direction in our beloved community.
