OUR N25 MILLION LAUNCHING – AN INVITATION.
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
Our Great Union is embarking on a project of building our Secretariat here in Lagos. Come October 08, 2005, we will be holding a launching in which we are targeting N25 Million to facilitate and actualize this bold goal. There is no gainsaying the benefits of this novel project which will benefit our generation and generations yet to come.
This Project has been unanimously endorsed by all members of our great community both here in Lagos, at home and other towns; as well as our admirers and friends from outside Okpofe. They have all pledged their unalloyed support and readiness to identify with this epoch making project.
Like all projects of this nature, having tasked ourselves and made sacrifices in several ways, it is not out of place but rather imperative to solicit the support of our beloved compatriots in this laudable venture.
After due considerations, the Union has the honour to specially call on you collectively and individually as one of the progressive Branches of our great Community Union to fully lend your support to this history making venture. In this regard, your financial and all round support will be highly appreciated. In return, we will put on record, your goodwill at this crucial time and at the appropriate time we must surely reciprocate every good gesture.
The good and benevolent Lord will surely replenish and repay you all in many folds as you support us in this epoch making project.

This is a wonderful plan. Okpofe has been a pace setter community in this our time. It is equally true that Lagos branch of OIU has been the strength of this noble community for as far as I can remember. The great Okpofe sons, wives, daughters and In-Laws resident in Lagos have been very instrumental to the success story of this great town.
The thought of using this message board to circulate your invitation is also appreciated. From all indications, this site gets quite a good number of visits and readership (numbers do not lie).
I think I should also remind you that most of us in the USA are still members of OIU Lagos branch by default. Some of us are yet to receive any form of send off ..wink..wink..
Let's see how recent events will unfold. I am not privileged to talk much about the recent events at this time....and we will follow the developments.
Thank you all for yoyr prompt response. Inno, as you rightly pointed out, you are all part of us here in Lagos and I do believe that you will assist spread the message. "This is our thing."
We have done our fund raising for the "OIU House" in Lagos. It was successful and by God's grace, we will soon start off the building.
I want to thank you all for your solidarity, encouragement and ispiring words. By all standards, Okpofe is a blessed land and we will continue to move ahead.
Cle, Peter, Paul, Inno and Ben, I am in receipt of your financail contribution towards of building project.
On behalf of all of us here in Lagos, I want to thank you all for this gesture and wish that going forward, there will be an improved relationship between OIU Lagos and ODA, USA. It is my beleive that it will be to the better interest of Okpofe if we work together.
