"INTERESTING"

Innocent -- Keep Okpofe.com running. The issue is that it takes time for things like this to catch on. One thing I have noticed is that except for few of us here and a few others at home, when I say home, I mean Nigeria -- either cities of Nigeria -- that are aware of this site, there has not been any publicity for this site and therefore it will be impossible for people to know that it exists in order to take advantage of it. Recently I referred one of my friends in Lagos to the site and he was overwhelmed that such a site exists.

Maybe if you send message to the Secretary General of the Home and Abroad for Okpofe Improvement Union, he/she may publicize the website and people can become aware of it and then start using it.

Remember the unwritten rule of a new business, especially in America here “you will have to operate one or more years and people can continue to see that your lights are still on at the place of business before they start to patronize you.” They want to see if you have what it takes to stay in business. Although this analogy may not particularly apply to this site, but you got the idea...

Without taking too much time, keep Okpofe.com running and if the cost is escalating beyond bearable, let me know so that I may chip in for us to keep it running. We can do this for Okpofe.

I responded today because today is the last day of December, 2006 when you stated that you might shot down the site.

Happy and prosperous New Year to all readers!!!

We are here for good.

Victor- You got me cracking up... so you woke up that early to save Okpofe.com? No need to lose your sleep again, Okpofe.com is here to stay. This will remain our 'small' corner on the world wide web for a long time.
So you know, only this forum was at the risk of being shut down, the whole site was not.

I am aware that the site currently enjoys visits from 12 different countries of the world as follows: US, Nigeria, Canada, Belgium, UK, Ghana, Togo, Senegal, Japan, Austria, Germany and Holland. I see traffic from these parts of the world and it does make the site successful and worthy of my continued maintenance.

Thanks again for your concern, and I wish all of us a happy new year.
