DR IHUNNAH SHOULD BE MORE SERIOUS

February 7 2007 at 9:06 AM

HAPPY AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO YOU SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF OUR GREAT LAND OKPOFE.

Always I feel great visiting Okpofe.com to make contributions when absolutely neccessary.

Honestly I am highly impressed with both social and academic profile of Dr. Ihunnah and very proud of the fact that he is an OKPOFE son. With such intimidating profile he is morethan qualified to be the Eze of the community (if selected by the people). Unfortunately Dr Ihunna's interest in the Ezeship sofar has been mere HEAR-SAY especially from Ben Amaefule who spent a lot of money and time during the past christmas trying to convince people that Dr Ihunna is the best candidate.

I stand my ground that Okpofe Ezeship should not be given to anybody on a plater of gold. It must be sought, and campaigned for by any interested candindate before final selection through a transparent process. Keeping this in view my humble advise to DEE is that he should be more serious and take the bold steps of declaring his interest even with fanfare at AFORAKIRI. LET US HEAR DIRECTLY FROM DR. IHUNNA.

Finally for your records the two major contenders are still Fabian Nwachukwu and Dr. Festus Ngumah.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Prince Jude Oguegbe

Good Talk!!

February 8 2007, 3:17 PM

It is always good to read from you, Prince Oguegbe.
I was home this past January, and noticed that your opinion is aslo shared by some other great Okpofians.
I am aware that Dr. Ihunnah visits this forum and your message is very clear.

I can't confirm the number of candidates but I believe there are other names you may have missed. One not mentioned by you, has given me his profile for publication here at okpofe.com. I will be doing that shortly.

In fairness to the system, and as a private citizen with no political affiliation, but with the interest of Okpofe community at heart, I will publish on this website, profiles of all candidates or intended candidates, on the request of the candidate or through their representatives.

By your reading Dr. Ihunnah's profile and communicating your opinion here, I believe once again that I have made the right decision to publish the profiles.

Okpofe Mara Mma !!

Dr. IHUNNAH IS VERY VERY SERIOUS!!!

February 14 2007, 2:57 AM

Let me use this medium to first of all express my sincere appreciation to my brother Prince Jude Oguegbe for his open and sincere expression of his awareness of who I am, and/or how he sees my lack of physical presence in Okpofe to make my candidacy for the EZE OKPOFE as significant as would be preferred yet. My gratitude is also extended to Mr. Ben Amuruotu for his sacrifice and personal efforts on my behalf.

I must reassure you and others whom I have not reached out to personally that you will not be disappointed when I make my appearance to the GREAT TOWN OF OKPOFE SOON. I am sure that you will be aware that I have returned, and I will be grateful to see you and others then.

My lack of presence on ground zero yet does not in any way mean that I am not serious, rather it is a direct result of primarily my personal and professional respect for the rule of law of any nation, or society. While preparing to return home during the past Christmas, I was informed that a law suit was filed against some leaders of Okpofe relavant to the process or procedure for selecting the Eze. It was made clear to me that the case would be heard in February. I was led to believe that the legal action prohibited candidates and the community from further campaign till at least the case was heard. That led to my cautious decision to obey the law and wait a little.

Prior to that law suit, Otiri na Dim citizens at home Okpofe can attest to it that I was actively reaching out to them to announce my candidacy. I am not aware that others have done anything different in the form of announcment in Okpofe. The mere fact that some of those you mentioned as more serious candidates reside in Okpofe does not automatically make them a more serious candidate.

Now that I understand that the matter has been adjorned till next month, March I want to assure you and other members of the great town of Okpofe that you will soon see me, hear from me, and realise that Mr. Ben Amaefule's efforts are not in vain or a fluke.

AS EZE OKPOFE, I AM IN THIS EFFORT POISED TO CONTINUE TO TAKE THE SERVICE, CONTRIBUTION AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF OKPOFE TO A LEVEL THAT WILL BE THE ENVY OF ANY COMMUNITY AROUND.

MY FELLOW OKPOFE SONS AND DAUGHTERS, OUR BELOVED OKPOFE AND AFOREKIRI WILL NOT ONLY EXPERIENCE FANFARE BUT A MEASURE OF SIGNIFICANT TRANSFORMATION WHEN I ARRIVE. STAY TUNED!!!

UDO DIRI UNU!!!

I HAVE TO USE THIS NICE OPPORTUNITY TO THANK THE TWO WRITERS, PRINCE JUDE, AND MR. INNOCENT AMEFULE. IT'S OBVIOUS THAT ONE CANNOT BITE FROM AFAR. DR. IHUNNIA, ARE YOU AFRAID OF DECLARING YOUR INTENTIONS? MY PRAYER IS FOR GOD TO GIVE OKPOFE THE WISDOM TO SELECT THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR THE TITLE. THE CANDIDATE WHO WILL ADD MORE TO THE PEACE AND PROGRESS IN OKPOFE. THE CANDIDATE WHO WILL ENSURE ADQUATE SECURITY, SORT OUT WAYS OF CREATING JOB OPPORTUNITY(IES) FOR OUR YOUTHS, PROTECT THE GOOD INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY,ETC.
OKPOFE HAS BEEN A PEACEFUL LAND, A RESIDENTIAL PLACE FOR GOD, A PLACE THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPING WITH LITTLE OR NO HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT. IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL COMMUNITY THAT HAS BEEN PUTTING THEIR RESOURCES TOGETHER FOR THEIR DEVELOPMENT AND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF OTHERS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE EZINIHITTE LGA GOT THEIR ELECTRICITY AND OTHER RESOURCES FROM THIS GREAT COMMUNITY/TOWN. WHAT OTHER COMMUNITIES SEEK FROM THE GOVERNMENT WE DO IT BY OURSELVES. "HEEEEPPPP...OKPOFE KWENU". PLEASE, WE WANT SOMEONE WHO WILL FIGHT FOR MORE DEVELOPMENT, PEACE AND LOVE, PROGRESS AND MUCH MORE IN OKPOFE.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
