I must begin this write-up by welcoming our 'first lady' at the town hall Mrs. Carol Obasi. I know her pretty well and appreciate her contributions to the debate. To wit, Okpofe will come out stronger in all this...like our Nation Nigeria. All the societal vices affecting Nigeria today have not prevented the western world from coming in here for business neither has it distracted Nigerians in diaspora from visiting home from time to time. I am very confident that okpofe will definitely overcome it's present situation. If I do recall what is presently happening in some communities around Okpofe I will simply say ours is a 'childs play'. Umunne, madu wu njo ala. Those causing mayhem or commiting crimes in Okpofe are okpofe people or their associates. This is the truth but we will not throw away the baby with the bath water. We will also pray for a better okpofe. God will and cannot abadon 'project okpofe' am very sure that things will be a lot better in our community. If you trace the root of crime or criminality in okpofe it goes back to high level of unemployment affecting the country. Our youths are idle and no food on their table to eat. Consequently, criminality is also increasing. A better Nigeria will bring about a good Imo state and a better okpofe for us all. Unemployment is a big problem in Nigeria - it has led to anything you can image.
Finally, can the town hall let me know what is happening to Prof. Ihunnaya's ambition of contesting the ezeship? Okpofe needs people like him in service of community and Nation.

Mr. Nworgu, you asked the Town Hall to help you understand what is happening to the candidacy of Dr. Ihunnah. I'm not sure anybody but Dr. Ihunnah can accurately respond to that, but as the moderator I would like to generally state as follows:
1. Due to the freeze of all EZE selection/election activities in Okpofe, and the lack of official list of candidates at the moment, the Town Hall assumes that there are no official candidates for EZE at this time.
2. If the above statement is true, the Town Hall believes that it will be misleading to continue to publish candidates' profiles; hence that page was temporarily shut down. The page will be re-activated when the process is back on track. All available profiles will then be published.
3. Finally, It is important to continue to state in clear terms, that the Town Hall, though privately managed, serves all of Okpofe community. Therefore, we DO NOT and WOULD NOT endorse any candidate for the office of EZE Okpofe, or any other office.
We would however, publish the profiles of all officially declared candidates when such profiles are available to us. We do not, and will not create the profiles, but will accept them for publication from candidates or their representatives. We believe in fairness. We also believe that these profiles would educate and introduce us to those who are interested in the highest office of our land.
Again, the publication of candidates' profiles is currently suspended.
Needles to say that individuals are free show support any candidate of their choice in the Town Hall. We will also allow ‘free and fair’ campaigns for candidates through this medium. The Town Hall rules and regulations shall prevail.
