Let's take the other thread further.
The Great European War (WWI) starts exactly in the same manner, only that this time Britain joins Germany due to their secret treaty. France and russia are basically stabbed in the back.
WESTERN FRONT
It is the year 1914 and Germany defeats France and Russia on land. The Schlieffen plan succeeded because the French didn't manage to separate the German armies. The greater part of the French army is encircled and Paris overrun. On christmasday 1914 German troops are hoisting the imperial flag on the Eiffel tower. The rest of the French army withdraws south while their government moves to Bordeaux. Many politicians desire peace and on New years day 1915 the peace treaty of Versailles is signed. Many French soldiers are feeling betrayed and want to establish a government in French Africa. But in this moment Italy uses the opportunity and attacks France. The combined navies have additionally put a blockade on France and are conquering the French colonies. The British army and marines are the main force with relatively little German help since the troops are needed home. The war also gives a nice reason for the militarisation of Canada and it's industry.
The last French Army under Foch himself surrenders in March.
In the peace treaty France pays modest reparations, but has to give up many colonies, particularly in Africa and Asia. They are allowed to keep Algeria and Madagascar however as well as their American colonies in order not to warn the US. Belgium is restored as an independent country and Germany pays for the damage caused. They also get some colonial possessions in Africa that were French previously. Luxembourg is offered membership in the German Empire. They hold a vote, but decide to remain independent for the time being. Germany accepts.
EASTERN FRONT
Russia invaded Eastern Prussia according to their warplans. The OHL let them advance. Other than in our world the OHL didn't pull back troops from France to defeat the Russians. This time in a surprise for the Russians the BEF lands in Königsberg and together with the German forces defeats the main attack effort. The Austrians meanwhile are advancing as slow as usually.
The front remains relatively passive until mid 1915 when the victorious German troops from France overwhelm the Russians on the whole frontline. A combined Anglo-Austro-German army pushes deep into Poland, the Ukraine and the Baltics. The people greet them as liberators from the Russian rule and are assisting them. Meanwhile the Russian monarchy is collapsing due to Communist uprisings. Fearing that more than the enemy armies the Tsar agrees to a hard peace treaty. The previously mentioned states become independant as does Finland. In exchange the Alliance agrees to help with dealing with the Communists. The treaty of St. Petersburg is signed November 5th 1915.
SOUTHERN FRONT
With both France and Russia eliminated, Serbia is standing alone. They are told to stand down at once or face the Alliance. They dare not to refuse. But the war showed clearly that the Austrian Empire is a rotten construct. Britain and Germany encourage them to release their ethnic minorities, but they decline, but agree to let the Slavs have their say. The dual monarchy becomes a triple monarchy. The European war ends with the treaty of Vienna on December 10th 1915.

Does anyone disagree with that? Anyone want to develop the story further?
What do the Americans do in the meantime? The Japanese?
