"The more west they went, the more unsuccessful they were and the more defeats they encountered".
What defeats are you talking about ?? Give me one defeat the size of parwan, ayin jalaut,Liegintz any european army inflicited upon mongols during their road to vienna ..can you? caliming puny skirmishes they encountered against italians, croats as huge crushing defeats?.. yu leave me wondering of what kind of a mental yu are.. those puny skirmishes were nothing compared to the real defeats what they faced aginst koreans, chinese, indians, yet it didnt' stop mongols anhilating them in the end ..so i dont see what 'defeats' are you jumping for. In realitiy there was NO actual full scale invasion of europe by mongols ..what attacked europe was not even the main force but a punitive force with siege equippment isufficient for a full scale invasion ..the main force of mongols were in asia involved in the conquest of china and the coming conquest middile east... an army of some 3,00,000-4,00,000 along with as many auxiliaries from korea were involved in the conquest of southern song of china. What stopped the Mongols was not any European army but rather:
a) Succession struggles due to too many Mongol leaders dying in the campaigns against the Southern Song and the increasing draw of men and material to subdue the Southern Song..the riches of china & middile east were more important and europe was not even 1/10 of it.
b) The fear of a cvil war after the death of ogedai khan..the big powere struggle going on in the empire so subotai sent his army so russia to create a power base there.
so relax and learn to LIVE with the TRUTH rather than IGNORING it.
"Liegintz was due to low numbers on the polish side and sajo was due to low numbers and the hungarians were sleeping while the mongols attacked"
I know its absoloutley pointless but just forsake of "good Old dsj's bullsh$t"... can yu get a credibile source to prove this claim?again ..LOL.LOL.LOL
"And any author that says ain jalut was the first mongol defeat did no reaserach at all".
LOL.LOL which author ever mentioned that.?
