It was Khosrau II (Chosroes II) who expanded the Sassanid empire but overextented his army by besieging Constantinople(today:istanbul) and found himself trapped when Heraclius left the empire's capital and counter-attacked from the rear (Black Sea).

I guess I'll have to answer them myself. The two traitorous Mughal nobles (just calling em Mughal cus tehy worked for em, they werent from the blood of Babur and Taimur)were Asaf Jah Nizam-ul-Mulk, viceroy of the Deccan and the Viceroy of Avadh.

OK that question was a hard one. The Kingdom was Eithiopia and the General and Eithiopian Governor of Southern Arabia was Abraha. His army was stricken by smallpox on the way to Mecca and once he reached Mecca the white elephant he was riding refused to walk through the gates. taking this as a sign that God was on their side the Meccans attacked and wiped out Abraha's army.
Heres an easy question.

Hi Darada Raja.
You 've made a mistake Alexander was Greek ,from the Greek region of Macedonia. The state today known as Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia is populated by slavs wich arrived in the Balcanic Penisula after the 7th century AD, so that makes impossible the theory that Alexander the Great was Slav-macedonian!the modern F.Y.R.O.M. state is populated by a majority of Slavs and big minority of Albanians(among other minorities).the only common thing between the Current abbitants of F.Y.R.O.M and the ancient Macedonic kingdom is that F.Y.R.O.M is situated in the northern territories of the ancient Hellenic Macedonian kingdom(the only Macedonian kingdom that existed).
Is sad to notice a person with historic preparation,as yours, falls victom of propaganda but on the other hand i can understand the lack of information because ,as everyone we are interested in History of our counrty-region.
By the way nice game!
Yeah I agree, Alexander was Greek, but just a different type of Greek to the Southern Greeks. He was definately not Slavic, so he then must be Greek. I have just read a few articles by FYROM historians who claim he was one of them, but he definately wasnt.

There were 11 manned flights, 2 unmanned flights and a halfway flight when three astronauts were killed when a fire broke out during a launch pad test. There were three planned flights that were cancelled. So it could be any of these 14,16 and 17 depending on what combinations you choose.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think these are the translated words by Timur:
"My principal object in coming to Hindustan… has been to accomplish two things. The first was to war with the infidels, the enemies of the Mohammadan religion; and by this religious warfare to acquire some claim to reward in the life to come. The other was… that the army of Islam might gain something by plundering the wealth and valuables of the infidels: plunder in war is as lawful as their mothers’ milk to Musalmans who war for their faith."
Ironically, his war against infedels got lots of muslims of delhi killed too....

China has been using rocketry before 300BCE, but India also does have a long history of rocketry. Unlike china, actual artifacts haven't been found, but we have mentions of them in many texts like arthashastra...

My question which naval battle(place date) confirmed the Hellenic revomution against the Ottoman empire?(by the way was Anglo/French/Ryssian vs Ottoman'empire fleet)
Answer
On 20th October 1827 an Allied fleet of British, French and Russian ships defeated a joint Ottoman Turkish and Egyptian fleet in a 4 hour clash at the battle of Navarino.

In Anglo/Indian history who was the first man to coin the phrase THE GREAT GAME, and what was his ultimate fate.
The Great Game is a term, usually attributed to Arthur Connolly, used to describe the rivalry and strategic conflict between the British Empire and the Tsarist Russian Empire for supremacy in Central Asia. The term was later popularized by British novelist Rudyard Kipling in his work, Kim. In Russia the same rivalry and strategic conflict was known as the Tournament of Shadows (Турниры теней). The classic Great Game period is generally regarded as running from approximately 1813 to the Anglo-Russian Convention of 1907. Arthur Connolly (died 1842 Bukhara) was a British captain of the Sixth Bengal Light Cavalry, who worked for the British East India Company. He coined the term The Great Game to describe the struggle between the British Empire and Russia for domination over Central Asia, and participated in many reconnaisance missions into Central Asia. Often travelling in disguise, he used the name "Khan Ali" in a word-play on his true name.
Captured on a rescue mission to free fellow British officer Colonel Charles Stoddart, he was executed by the Emir of Bukhara, Nasrullah Khan in 1842 on the charge of spying for the British Empire.

This treatise on government is said to have been written by the prime minister of India's first great emperor, Chandragupta Maurya. Although often compared to Machiavelli's Prince because of its sometimes ruthless approach to practical politics, Kautilya's work is far more varied--and entertaining--than usual accounts of it indicate. He mixes the harsh pragmatism for which he is famed with compassion for the poor, for slaves, and for women. He reveals the imagination of a romancer in imagining all manner of scenarios which can hardly have been commonplace in real life.
The Institution of Spies
One of the most notorious features of the Arthashastra is its obsession with spying on the king's subjects. Kautilya sometimes goes to amusingly absurd lengths to imagine various sorts of spies. He even cynically proposes using fake holy men for this purpose.
Me. I said that right now. Also Arnold Schwarzenegger said that.

State where she was and how she got there. what duties she had to perform in her occupation. i.e. If she was a cook, state who introduced her to culinary, who she cooked for, what she cooked, how many times a day she cooked etc.

Over 100 posts and no attempts to flame and then you turn up with this silly arse question.
This isn't about your opinion, you need to ask a question that has an answer not ask a question that can only be answered if someone thinks the same way as you.
i am afraid u are the one trying to flame here! my post was addressing to everyone who knows history! If u read many books about napoleon u will see that the one who truly defeated him was Blucher and not as u want to beleive Wellington.
If u read world history and not British u will also see that Wellington was declared the worst prime minister ever although he was buried as a national hero by his compatriots.
When refering to waterloo battle history books say the BIG LOSER(NAPOLEON) AND THE SMALL WINNER (WELLINGTON).

Izmir(Smyrna) was never given to Greece in any treaty, though the Sevres treaty gave Greece some rights over the city it was still left under Turkish domination;
Quote:THE TREATY OF PEACE BETWEEN THE ALLIED AND ASSOCIATED POWERS AND TURKEY SIGNED AT SÈVRES (AUGUST 10, 1920)
SECTION IV.
SMYRNA.
ARTICLE 69.
The city of Smyrna and the territory defined in Article 66 remain under Turkish sovereignty. Turkey, however, transfers to the Greek Government the exercise of her rights of sovereignty over the city of Smyrna and the said territory. In witness of such sovereignty the Turkish flag shall remain permanently hoisted over an outer fort in the town of Smyrna. The fort will be designated by the Principal Allied Powers.
But the Sevres Treaty NEVER entered force so Greece was given no legal say over Izmir.

very interesting thread !!!!
Oberst-Phitler asked:
"Which is the oldest national flag still in existence?"
noone aswered this interesting question ?????
I'd like to know the answer !! Does anyone have the answer ??
The Oldest of all flags has to be the Dhwaja (meaning 'Victory banner' in most Indian languages). It is characteristically triangular and is usually made of colors that represent 'Fire'(Orange, yellow, or red). It then has symbol(s) inside to represent its kingdom, monarch, or people.
It can still be found on most Temple stambhas.
It was carried by Hanuman to represent Ram's Suryavanshi Ayodhya and the victorious forces that went to defeat Ravana.
It has been adapted and used by Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain kingdoms ever since.
