I feel so dumb, i didn't even know china had pyramids. Also, they supposedly have this 1000 foot "Great White Pyramid", that dwarfs the pyramids in Egypt.
Do you know more about these Chinese Pyramids?
I read one story about the giant white pyramid before, it's supposed to be located near the chinese launch site, that's why it is forbidden for public access.

The largest pyramid is located in South America. It is so big that it looks like a small mountain.

You got any links? The tallest is the one in egypt. I don't know about the largest. These chinese pyramids are still unknown for most people, so they probably don't count. lol

Quote:The Great Pyramid of Cholula is a huge temple-pyramid complex located in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico.
The complex was built over many generations, from the 2nd century BC to the early 16th century, and was dedicated to the deity Quetzalcoatl. It is the largest Pre-Columbian pyramid by volume, with a base of 450 by 450 m (1476x1476 ft) and a height of 66 m (217 ft). According to the Guinness Book of Records, it is in fact the largest pyramid as well as the largest monument ever constructed anywhere in the world, with a total volume estimated at 4.45 million mウ, almost one third larger than that of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. (The Giza pyramid is higher, however.)
There is an even large one though. I have to find the link.

Definitely the area those pyramids are found is not traditional Han Chinese land. That's one of the reasons why PRC government hasn't made a big fuss about it. You can deceive a person for a long time, and you can deceive everyone for a while, but you can't deceive everyone for ever.

What are you talking about? It's in Xian, the cradle of ancient china.
Who do you suppose made em'?
----------------------------------------------- YOU
1. Was 'Qin Shi Huang' Han? Questionable.
2. Was Xian under Han Chinese control, especially when the pyramid was built?
3. What is the difference between the one mentioned in the article and Tibetan-Burman pyramids?
4. What about Mongolian pyramids up north?
5. What about Manchurian pyramids near NK border?
What the? You got any proof to back up that the first emperor of China was not Han? Confucious predate the Qin state, so I suppose you are gonna claim confucious is not Han either? Good thing historian use facts instead of baseless claims.
2. Was Xian under Han Chinese control, especially when the pyramid was built?
Yes! For christ sake man, the pyramids were built during to house the tomb of emperors like the great martial emperor wudi (aka Liu Che). This was when Xi'an was the capital city. And get this, the dynasty that ruled during that time was the HAN DYNASTY, from which the populace it ruled took the name Han from, the subjects of Han. Is that proof enough?
3. What is the difference between the one mentioned in the article and Tibetan-Burman pyramids?
No one claimed those were attributed to Chinese.
4. What about Mongolian pyramids up north? 5. What about Manchurian pyramids near NK border?
Are you suggesting these were not built by the Chinese civilization (STOP using Han as a criteria. Were the subjects of the Roman empire all of one ethnicity?). Ancient China reached and settled those areas. If you doubt claims by professional archaeologist, you have the burden of the proof no?
@nardini, I'm dissapointed in you. You used to back up your statement with facts.

#1 way to ascertain that you've lost an argument: Resorting to personal attacks.
China had a rush for building big things. The great wall of China (I don't think I need to post anything about this), the largest manmade river ever, largest Pyramid, largest assortment of valuables for a person's tomb (the Tiracota warriors, did I spell that right?), probably the largest continous empire ever (China throughout the dynasties were always HUGEEEE, infact Russia took around half of all Chinese land after WWI and WWII), building the biggest expeditinary fleet ever, Forbidden city (I think its the largest palace in the world, gotta check on that)......
Let me add some more to your list... some mordern things like three gorge dam, The largest deepsea port, the largest airport, couple of the largest mall in the world, and we have the world most skyscaper...ahhahaahha do china have the lorgest bridge?
Theres a pretty good chance that a bridge to Taiwan is gonna be built. I saw some pictures and its supposedly under the new infrastructure spending spree going on to 2015, something like 20 trillion yuan worth of roads and bridges (gotta check the amount of money).
It's 100 miles across the Taiwan Strait, plane and ferry service would be much cheaper. Also how will ships cross it, unless a part that folds up is included, which would have to be as wide as the widest ship in the region, which is pretty large.
A bridge that big would easily be have road lanes a hundred metres into the air. I believe that would fit any ship to cross under.
But nothing is decided yet, all I've seen are pictures and a vague news report.

Chinese people work their butt off and say nothing. Indians talk their butt off about the work they'll be doing however what they say rarely corresponds with what they actually do.
Hundreds of meters in the air? Are you nuts? If you add in the depth to the sea floor, you'd be putting up pillars that are taller than most buildings for 100 miles. Totally impractical, though I wouldn't put it past the Chinese government to attempt something like that, emerging powers and authoritarian governments like grand shows of architecture and technology.
The sea between China and Taiwan is actually quite shallow (comparatively), good place for Diesel Subs, bad place for nuclear subs. A hundred metres into the air for a bridge, not the first time that bridges have been that tall. Its only a picture proposal, probably not gonna be attempted. I've even seen Discovery TV programs saying they want to build a bridge connected Russia and N America through the Bering sea.

It was a mountain? Where did you get this info? Because as far as i know, they still haven't found it lol.
I wouldn't call those pyramids....ancient chinese emperors simply built their tombs in mountains.......in fact, the known chinese pyramids were by Xi Xia, contemporary of North Song and Liao........l1o1l1o1l1o1l1ol Surprised you guys didn't know about it.....l1o1l1o11o1l1o1l
The Chine pyramids were built by shaping the earth into a flattop pyramids. The Mesoamerican and Egyptian Pyramids were built using stones from far way sources. Although, the most amazing thing about the chinese tombs remains the terrecotta warriors, in which all different soldiers have unique appearances.
