Israel and the Suez crisis.

I need to give a presentation on the Suez Crisis for my class on the Arab Israeli conflict. Most sources that I can find focus on British and French actions and motives and only introduce Israel as a sidenote. Does anyone know where I can find information on Israel's role in the conflict?

Thanks.

True, but the war itself was conducted largly by the Israeli's. When it was the french/british turn to land in Suez, they quickly bowed to international pressure and halted the offensive after sustaining about 50 casualties.

here are the casualties figures from ingenting's first link:

Egypt:

vs. French/British forces--
650 killed,
900 wounded,

185 taken prisoner

vs. Israeli forces--

1,000 killed,
4,000 wounded,

6,000 taken prisoner

But let us not rail about justice as long as we have arms and the freedom to use them

@ Yoad

Actualy to be more exact, it was the U.S. who manipulated and black mailed the U.K. which in turn screwed the french over... the french could not do anything after that as they had no more "official" allies. Horray for the U.S. screwing thier allies over and helping nasser!
