We need help finding the history of Bell Helicopter UH-1B 61-701 that was delivered to the US ARMY in Jan 1962. Being built in 1961 she was originally desinated as a HU-1B and in 1962 all Hueys were redesinated as UH-1's.

We know she went through FMS (Foreign Military Sales)to Germany in 1962 and according to a website www.flugzeugforum.com (thread/topic UH-1D page 4)she was the 1st Huey that Germany would receive for their Army/Air Force. Later they received many D-Models.

What we need to find is her History from 1962 thru 1972 while she was supposedly in Germany.

Her logbook history begins in 1972 at Texas receiving a complete maintenance overhaul with 2300 airframe hours.

So we need to know her history from 1962-1972?

We will be Restoring this Huey back to flight and this history is vital!

We are Not For Profit 5021c3 Organization made up of Veterans and Patriots thats Mission is to Preserve The Huey's History, Educate all Generations, and Pay Tribute To All Veterans/Patriots, especially Vietnam Veterans and most Importantly Our Veterans Who Have Given The Ultimate Sacrifice!
Please visit our website at www.americanhuey369.com and view the 5000+ photos & videos that show the acquisition, restoration and 58 Events that have been flown to in the last 6years. Also, go to the membership page and look at the 2554 Members across the US and abroad, you might just see an old Buddies name.

Thank You for interest and Help!
      Sincerely,
John Walker Pres./Co-Founder American Huey 369 Org.Peru, Indiana USA
