I believe USA will surprise many.

Soccer in America is not known to the outside world. These guys are physically fit and fast.

They were much better than Germany in the last world cup...

I consider them as the upcoming surprise. They are young, dynamic and fast. Dont look at the friendly games...those are not even the guys that will play in the world cup...

I think the U.S could really surprise people,but I think you won't see any african teams doing that well, perhaps Ivory Coast but their in a tough group, I see Paraguay or Ecuador doing very well.

I really dont see any latin american country doing well besides brazil and argentina...I really dont have respect for latin american teams besides the above two...

Paraguay is a good team, they could surprise.

I was pissed that Uruguay didn't make it, for such a small nation they have an incredible history and good sets of players. And Iliria Argentina and Brazil get all the notice but all south american teams with the exception of Bolivia and Venezuela play some good football.

HEY BRAZILPRIDE!!! We beat them fair and sqaure... they are a ratty team (they really are), and I'm hoping Australia gets a rivalry with them, so we can beat them again hahaha...

You know in 2001 during the play offs between Australia and Uruguay I went to see the match in Montevideo and I tell you thats probably the best football atomsphere I've ever been to. The noise was amazing especially when they scored those three goals!!! First leg Australia won 1-0 by a penalty but the south americans won 3-0 at home!!! Anywayz I do think theirs a developing rivalry between those 2 teams because when the Australian team arrived in Uruguay it wasn't exactly a "friendly" encounter. Also Uruguay has a fine history yeah it was like 50 years ago but still, they beat us at home in the WC final with the largest crowd ever recorded 199,000 people in the Maracana.
