I'd just like to know what you guys thought about the ATI Radeon X1600 with PCI Express and 256 MB of GDDR3 video memory. I dont realy have a choice in getting this card , but id like to know if it'l be good for todays top of the line game and in the neer future.

personally i like this card. it is a mid-range card and can handle some of the more advanced graphics (thought not as fast as some older cards). i think it's performance is reasonable for the price and should last you some time. Though don't expect it to run even today's games at ultra high settings very fast and definitely not in the years to come. but if you can play games high now and maybe medium next year and so on then I think it is a good value.

its a great card if you dont intent to play games at max detail or high for that matter.......what your cpu...ram?

if you can then get a x800pro. much better value.

i just got oblivion and its so choppy on my ge force fx 5200 at low setting .. will the Geforce 6200 256 mb be any better?

Single 1,8 ghz G5 chip with 2 gigs of ram.
But this will be on a Duel 2 ghz Intel with 2 gigs of ram.

yup ram is good.....you got enough rams. get the x800pro....you wont be dissapointed.

Babak you got to do something about that GFX card man...you wont be able to play anything. A 6200 wont be much better...but yeah GFX cards are very expensive....it all depends what you want to do with it. I play games all the time, both on my pc and my consoles. So for my pc I picked up a x850xt. If you dont play often but would like to play at hight settings then buy x800pro or 6800GT/ULTRA.

Shahab bro. I dont have the money for such an expensive card. I sometimes paly games im a university student. I want to play elder scrool IV Oblivion badly i got it its aamazign but runs like crap on my geforce fx5200 128meg.....

i don't think the 6200 is much better than the 5200. go for a 6600 or 6600gt. i bought a 6800gs for about $200, if you are willing to spend that much it is a good buy.

ZIDANE is that an apple G5 you are talking about? Thats one hell of a CPU if it is.

BABAK buy a second hand GPU then....or go for the cards we mentioned. New games are coming...you seen crysis yet? buy something that will last a while...ohh and ATI is more reliable if you ask me bro.

Yup Apple G5 but its in a Imac so its only a single chip .

Ya, especialy for demanding things. However my current graphic card makes up the difference in performance cuz its realy crapy for some games ( nividia geforce 5200 FX ultra).

yup.....thats your bottelneck. your card is too slow for your cpu. such a shame a G5 os so expensive.

Yeah, i wish they would of made a G6, but hey cant stay out of mainstrean forever. The intel should help in the game deppartment thought cuz they will be more compatible.
