Our National Team has never in history lost a game in Dortmund.

I say 4:2, since the Poles have to play offensive and will leave many open gaps. Interesting to see will be how the defense works today.

Poland will either win, or lose badly, no two buts about it. It'll either be 3-1 to Poland or 4-0 to Germany.

Poland can win, its just that they have NEVER beaten Germany. Thats right gentlemen, Poland has never beaten Germany in the WC.

I'm not worried, my team is Australia... But it would be nice for Poland to win.
Lets hope its not Korea/Japan all over again.

Saudi's will lose 3-0.

Spain will win 2-1.

Boy, 4-0, I extremely underestimated Spain.

Congratulations to the Spaniards, God I wish I could have watched that match....Stupid school!

Spain is one of my favorite teams (naturally aside Italy).

Polands red card was fair, but did you see spains penalty?..what an absolutely disgraceful decision. They would ahve lost anyway, but the ukraine should feel hard done by,dreadful decision, really was.

@germans,

Yeh nice result,i had a feeling neuville would score when he came on.But what about the next game, podolski just isnt playing well? reckon he will be dropped?

The red card was fair. He previously booked 3 German players for similar fouls. Not brutal ones, but tactical fouls that broke the momentum of an attack. The 2nd yellow for that Pole was completely in line with that.

Man, I barely remember the last time that I've felt so much for passion for that team. Yesterday, they showed heart and spirit. On top of that they played beautiful football, I nearly went mad when we hit the post two times in 3 seconds. At the end it paid off, what a relief

Now my comments:

The defence was much improved, Metzelder and Mertesacker were rock solid, even Friedrich didn't allow too many chances!

Lahm, again man of the match, brilliant in defence and attack. Up to now the German player of the tournament.

The midfield was dominant. Ballack with a medicore performance, but with beautiful passes, Frings much improved. Schneider solid, Schweinsteiger a bit tired after his three performances which were class.

Podolski and Klose did well, only lacked the necessary killer instinct yesterday. That double post was really bad luck. Also credit to the polish keeper, he did well for them.

Klinsmann's subs were very good, Odonkor is simply the fastest player ever and Neuville the poacher that was needed.

I'm proud of any single one of them!

I think the positioning at the begining in the next match will be the same like yesterday,as(if ecuador wins against costarica)its very important that we win against ecuador.
Else we have to play against grup Bs 1st wich will probably be England.

About Yesterday:
Yes the defence did very well yesterday but Pudolski and Schweinsteiger didnt play so good.
Klose was a little unlucky.

But also the polish team played very good.Much better then against ecuador imo.

Neuville is really a joker he seems to be there to win these desperate games, it was the same against the USA last time. If you cant break the defense, Odonkor - Neuville seems to be a good alternative to the usual Klose / Podolski storm ...

Shattered... I watched the game, expecting Poland to lose 3-0 and I saw a game where Germany couldn't even score till extra time.

If Germany plays like that it won't do very well... Poland is a mediocore team at best, and I expect a tad more from the Kraut. It was hard fought match though, and this actually could help condition Germany for pressure games, so it is pretty good.

Also... I find it funny that Poland has a German born player, and Germany has three Polish born/heritage players. I was pretty surprised...

I saw the game as well, and I even remember it, if you would have, you would not have made this comment. The German offense was brutal, the only reason it wasn't a much higher scoring game for the German team, was the Polish goalkeeper, he had one hell of a game.

Tell you what, our team is doing just fine, and I hope they keep playing like that.

Polzei come on mate, it was not brutal. It was decent at best, but i'm talking about Germany taking on other nations like Argentina and Italy. They had very good chances, and I especially was on the edge after the ball hit the cross bar twice... Klose and Podolski should have scored at least twice between them, but hey, truely bad luck. But I think the game at least tested their patience (The goalie was pulling some good ol' time wasting), but I think they need to go up a gear to win the WC. The ecquador match should be good though, they are on fire.

Remember Polzei, Poland only joined 2 years back, and they were born during commie times... hahahaha, but thank you, its good to be an EU citizen!

"Shattered... I watched the game, expecting Poland to lose 3-0 and I saw a game where Germany couldn't even score till extra time."

That was a combination of rare inability in the finish (particularly Klose who most of the time makes those chances with closed eyes), really bad luck (that double bar hit) and a keeper playing really well. I donßt think that will repeat itself very often.

"If Germany plays like that it won't do very well... Poland is a mediocore team at best, and I expect a tad more from the Kraut. It was hard fought match though, and this actually could help condition Germany for pressure games, so it is pretty good."

The "Krauts" outplayed a Poland that was improved much over the previous game for the better part of 90 minutes, creating a host of chances that usually would have produded 3-4 goals.

"Also... I find it funny that Poland has a German born player, and Germany has three Polish born/heritage players. I was pretty surprised..."

Surprised? Klose and Podolski have been around for years.

Poland was much improved, but it came too late. If they had that form against Ecuador, they could have made things more interesting. As for Germany, I have never seen the team play with so much heart, passion and drive during under Klinsmann. We are up there IMO.
