Swlava, your team needs to keep the good work up, Germany is playing fantastic and efficient football. I'm more convinced with them rather than England...

Quote:yeah I say....that last goal was way too cheap lol.
Swedes had another good chance after their first goal, but the ball hit the post. Swedes deserved to score at least 2 goals, whereas England was a very big dissapointment imo, Rooney played average and Owen is out.
What's their future now? Gerard was good decision by Sven.. but imagining those lads up against Germany or Spain, let alone Argentina or Brazil...don't think they'll make it very far.
How many years is since England has to beat Sverige? since 68 BBC said, lol

Well the actual results won't help you with this opinion. Sweden is an efficient team, they scored when they had to, no questions asked, clear goals and fast attacks.
Although here's the end for Sverige, Germany will kill them given the fact that they play home... It should be interesting, who knows, maybe we'll get another fantastic game (2-2, 3-3).
This Mundial is getting very interesting.

Phoebus.....you are both right and wrong. just because the team has better players it dosent mean they are going to win.....but to level it with you, I must say engalnd has better players.

These things are over now. The game against Sweden is live or die. But we have the better keeper I believe, Lehmann has the chance to catch these hes done so with Chelsea ...
The game will be differend, since both Teams will fight to the end. Swedes dont give up easy neither do we.

Come on, Brother! Have some dignity! Our term for WC is pretty long as well: "Jaam-e Jahani," but we do not use dirty Spanish terms! Even in Euro Cup ("Jaam-e Mellatha-ye Europa") we did not use dirty Spanish terms!

We use it ever since we played footaball in Greece man! We rarely say "Terma!" in Greece, we shout "goal!". We donr say "poini" but "penalty".....and so on. It's naturall man, Greece is a multicultural society ever since the last century.

We dont have enough strikers so it looks like playing a 5 man mid field with Rooney up front.
Hargreaves supriseingly played very well
Agree. Fiver midfield with Gerrard given the freedom to attack as he wants to. Rooney sole striker, Lampard and Hargreaves defensive. Hargreaves didn't surprise me he plays very well for Bayern. Terrible for Owen.

Christ, god really hates us ,no? The second rooney plays his first full game.Owen is struck out of the WC(probably)
The first half perfromance was outstanding, joe cole was unbelieveable, the entire midfield even without gerrard was awesome. What exactly sven told them to do in the 2nd half is beyond me? Also i have never seen an english defence deal with set pieces so badly. We have like one of the tallest teams in the WC,not to mention two of the best centre backs.God,it was awful and embarassing, lol.I was actually laughing at the 2nd goal. The swedes deserved the draw.
Oh,ill say it again.Paul robinson needs to sort himself out.I can see him fuking up big time in later rounds. This sitting on the line buisness has to change.I put 50% of the blame on him for how bad we dealt with corners/goals.

Crouch was disappointing. England needs to play a five man midfield and let Gerrard do what he wants in the attack. Have Rooney as the sole striker and let Hargreaves be more defensive. I was told Robinson wasn't bad before the WC, but now? He really needs to run out and catch those corner balls flying in. He needs to get better quickly. The English defence got notably worse after Ferdinand left. Terry didn't do a good game but that is hopefully a one off. This is how they should play from now on imo:

Yup,i agree with those tactics for sure.I just hope rooney can get scoring. The importance of owen is that he was a great paocher.Every team needs a player like that, without him things have certainly got better.
