"Revenge factor" was also the case when Brazil was against France in the quarterfinals....and guess who won?

@Christoph
Croatia is a strong team, what makes you so sure that England will do so wonderfully? I mean, playing against Croatia isn't exactly the same thing as playing against Andorra.

Their was no "revenge factor" in that match, our revenge came when we won the world cup in 2002 and they failed to score a goal.

Exactly. An injured Owen and a struggling Rooney don't help either.

Besides, Croatia plays solid D, even if England wins I wouldn't expect any blowouts.

I think Dafoe could replace Owen to be honest he has some good quality, but Michael is a tad more reliable.

Croatia is a very good team, though far away from the "Dream Team" that played in France 1998 with Boban, Suker, Boksic and Prosinecki. Today they are a solid outfit that combines grit and ferocity, but has somewhat lost its technical edge.

Still at home in the Maksimir they can be counted on to play well. i hope for a draw for the vatreni!

Btw. about Slowakia - Germany . You lot are very optimistic. Before the World Cup they comfortably beat us 3-0. Now I know we have been playing much better recently, still a win would be a brilliant result and I would take any result, even a 1-0 for us.

I hope the Italian will remember now how to play because if they do what they showed the last matches, Ukraine will beat them. In my opinion what ll happen during the match is Italy will score earlier, Ukraine will strike and strike and probably score too. After the Italian will only make counter attack in order to save at least the score, it ll be a matter of who is more lucky than the other after.
Don t underestimate the stress factor too. It s an obligation for Italy to show something good and take some points, Ukraine has nothing to loose against the world champion.

For France, if our team play like they did, they will win by 2 - 1 because they always do one mistake during a match.

just my 2 cents

You're correct, France always loses one during a match, except this time, they weren't able to get those two goals for themselves.... France has a tremendous weakness in fixed sets. The French squad is vulnerable to them, and it's been shown, too (remember, that's how Materazzi scored).

Lucky for France though, they're going against the Faore Islands on Wednesday, and even though they do not have Gregory Coupet, they should be able to walk away without conceding a goal.....

England is boring, I agree with you, BrazilPride. People have said that Italy's boring, but England is definitely the most boring of them all...

Yea i was refering to that. But to be honest our team played pretty bad on the second half time, Scotland was too much in defense. Anyway for the first half time our team would have desserve to score.

But it s not the first time our team dominate the other and still loose the match.

Implying something?

Beh, things happen.

Italy dominated the Euro 2000 Final until Wiltord's lucky strike against Toldo, and then Trezeguet randomly strikes the golden goal.

It's not so much the loss, as it was losing a very good and capable coach, Dino Zoff. After that, Italy entered a terrible cycle under Giovanni Trapattoni.

Hmm for the final in 2000 the Italian team wasn t dominating, but whatever.

And btw, after that our team entered a very terrible circle too lol. Remember 2002 ? No ? Me too. That was the problem. And that circle was finally stopped in 2006 only.
