What computer do you currently run? What specs does it have and how does it play programs (games)?

Mines a recent purchase...

2.4GHz CORE DUO 2 6600
GF 7900 GT XFX Vivo 490 Graphics
Corsair 2 Gig C4-6400 RAM
250 gig hard drive Seagate SATA II
Gigabyte 965P-S3 Motherboard (4 USB ports)
430W Antec Neo PSU (replacement for better performance)

Case is Thermaltake Armor Junior Case (Great ventilation 1200mm fans front and back, 2 USB ports up top 1394 ports) and the other standard things (dual Pioneer DVD Burners and a floppy for the sake of nostalgia)...

To put it simply... nothing has lagged on this comp as of yet. Playing DoW: Winter Assualt, with full graphics, with about 80-100 characters on screen... no lag.

Going to go try Oblivion... heard that's a beast of a game and dishes out a hammering on graphics cards and RAM/CPU.

I have quite some time (like 4-5 years now) the same computer:
CPU: Amd Athlon 1800
RAM: DDR 512MB @ the standard 133MHz
Motherboard: KTX-333 I believe it is
HDD: one of 120GB and 8MB cache and another one 300GB and also 8MB cache
GF-card: GF4-Ti 4200 128MB version from abit
Mouse: Intelli Mouse optical
keyboard: Logitech media keyboard
soundcard: (very old one) SoundBlaster Live 1024
DVD-RW from Nec 50545 I believe it is
19" flatron LG CRT screen
...

I'm satisfied with this machine, I can run Suse 9.3 and WinXP (when I have to) without any problems and other heavy programs like eclipse, Matlab, Maple, ... without any real problems nor any form of lag. I'm not into gaming anymore since a couple of years so that's not a problem either.

PS: I also have a great laptop that I bought last year.

Don't try this at home lads

Well it's not really my machine as it's my brother's, my rig's still in Lebanon.

Intel 875 mobo
Pentium 4 2.8HT
Kingston 2 Gigs of Ram
Asus V9999 6800GT OC 256
Toshiba 120 gig HD
Western Digital 20 gig HD (literally used as "My Documents")
17" Viewsonic LCD

My machine back in Lebanon is:

Asus K8N-E mobo
AthlonXP 64 754 pin 3000+
1 gig of Ram (forgot the company)
Leadtek 6200TD 256
Samsung 100 gig HD
Sony E-220 17" CRT (the best screen I've ever seen, 6+ years and still amazing quality)

Both rigs are fairly obsolete (though my brother's runs most things very smoothly) right now what with Geforce 8, Intel's Quad processor, and Vista coming along; we'll probably buy a new one within 4-6 months when all 3 of those products would have matured.

Getting a new graphics card soon, should keep it going for a while longer. But the mobo and processor are going to need changing fairly soon.
