What makes it worse is the fact that we have some excellent even world class players when they are playing for their clubs but they cant seem to play together.

It could be the players, manager or both I don’t know but something has to be done as we have some of the best individual players we have had in many, many years yet our national team isn’t showing it.

I agree, the domestic leagues of England are fun to watch (some people will say because of the foreigners) but the national team just fails to deliver an attractive football, as much as it is obvious that England has a better team than ours, the 0-0 was what I was expecting to see.

Allan Mullary the best english commentators on skyports after the spain game said something I found interesting. He said that English football, their players and the way their brought up to play lack "finesse" you see in other European and South American countries. English players perform better in the league because their around these foreigners who bring out the best in them. Now England were not entertaining before McClaren under Erickson, so perhaps he has a point. I just find Mclaren to be a retard who just likes the attention, I don't think he knows what he's doing.

Pero no sacas ni un pesito pa' llenarle la barriga

Y darle un buen abrazo aunque este muriendo de SIDA

That's an interesting theory. Makes you think again why there have been so few English players who have played abroad, and fewer, if any, who have succeeded. English presence outside the Premiership have been completely non-existent with the exception of McManaman and Lineker, and we've all witnessed how Becks turned out in Madrid.

Still though, on the flip side of this argument, you have English players like Gerrard and Terry who are perhaps two of the most important, influential, talismanic figures for their respective teams in all of football, and it is THEY who bring out the best in their Chelsea and Liverpool teammates, foreigners included.

At this point, England's perennial struggle is still an enigma for me.
