Seriously, IW have just given the finger to PC gamers by announcing there will be no dedicated servers. If you play MP games on the PC you will know why that is ridiculously lame. I will ask anyone who was going to buy MW2 to reconsider, I've already cancelled my pre-order.

Look at the FIFA series..lol, every 6 months a new iterationi comes which promises "ground breaking gameplay mechanics" and all thats different is Zidane's new jersey and Messi's new hairstyle. The console douche will lap it up and proclaim it as the best game in the universe and EA will get enough money (in 3 digit nos) to fund the next version of FIFA.

Its a good thing these console idiots wont get close to massively multiplayer and free roam..when your brain has been conditioned into working with flashy markers and 3 buttons plus a joystick, you really have no hope.

Huge Battlefield fan ever since '42, looking forward to BC2 but the only thing giving me hope for the PC right now is BF3.

Pathetic, this is exactly what I was talking about in the other thread. Somehow, I knew something like this was coming. It's gonna be the biggest selling game ever, and they can't afford to shell out just a few bucks to keep a few servers running?! What a bunch of greedy @$$holes, aren't they forgetting the fact that it was the PC crowd that gave life to the CoD franchise in the first place? Now we're gonna be stuck in lag heaven playing 4 vs 4 like a freakin console. Definitely not buying, what a f-cking travesty.

It has cost them more to develop the IW.net p2p system than dedicated servers ever would, this isn't about saving a few pennies it's about changing the whole industry, just read up on the fat fvck who runs Activision.

PCs are for Dawn of War and Civ et al, consoles are for FPS

I used to have a morbid fear of using a game pad over a keyboard and mouse for a shooter, i got over it

fps should be for pc easy head shots every time when i try to shoot some ones head with a controller it always moves far away from the head to the left and right

the whole console v pc debate is retarded for the simple fact you should have both for different things they complement each other

Install a windows live controller on the PC and voila, a machine that has twice the graphical power of a console...with the crap joypad you seem to love!

With 28"+ monitors being far more popular that's actually a really good argument. 32" monitors are becoming the old 28" in popularity and price. That is the size of a medium sized TV lol.

Eventually the lines between gaming comps and consoles will be blurred. The only way consoles will compete is if they get closer to graphical power as comps, which defeats the purpose of both. Hell, they will cost almost as much as a entry level gaming PC.

I pre-ordered this game, but I'm a little torn about the whole dedicated servers being gotten rid off. If the game turns out having less then 10 v 10, I'm returning the game and demanding a refund. I have a feeling it might work out and people are making a massive fuss for no reason. Problem is I really do want games that have a lot of people, 20 v 20 was always fun and this new system sounds exactly like console bullcrap limiting it to less players due to ping issues and player hosted games (which would be shattering).

yeah 9 v 9, I was hoping for more. 9 v 9 was plenty for MW1 but some of the maps in MW2 are a fair bit bigger and it can get a little quiet... especially when fvckers use the uav jammer. still a very good game though.

PC's for strats, tactical action, FPS.

RPGs can go on either

RTS games are great for pc as well

Personally i own a ps3 and a ****ty pc but i will tell you one thing, i am willing to sell my ps3 for a 2GB 1.8ghz os: vista home basic pc and im not joking
