Here's the pyramid as it is widly understood:

Top: MLS

Second-tier: A-League, now known as USL Div 1

Here's where it gets cloudy...

Third-tier: USL Div 2, Canadian Professional Soccer League, Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL)

Fourth-tier: PDL

The CPSL, PCSL and USL Div 2 all operate independently of one another. Sometimes players move inbetween these systems, but it seems rare. The CPSL is a loop based out of eastern Canada (primarily Ontario) and the PCSL is a based out of western Canada (namely British Columbia and Washington in the US). The USL div 2 is drying up a bit, as fewer teams want to operate at a semi-professional level and drop to the PDL where it is largely (if not entirely) amateur.

As far as Charles Gbeke goes, I thought he was a tremendous player for the club. He was a nice, friendly chap off the pitch, and was much a gentleman on the pitch. He's got incredible pace and scored (I believe) about 4 or 5 goals for us in about 10 games. He appeared (when I noticed him) in the latter half of the season. Someone else might be able to confirm this, but he might have been part of a loan agreement we had with Toronto of the A-League where we sent 2 guys for the remainder of the season, and we got a few players in return, but I could be wrong.

If we teach you the Charles Gbeke song, you have to sing it to him for us... I think he'd get a kick out of that. ;)
