Wow! Tryouts already?!? What an exciting time of year!
Time really flies, huh?

Every winter/spring for the last four or five years, certain folks around town have predicted the demise of the Storm. Rumors start to fly... Stupid stuff like "Oooh, I HEARD they don't have a field!" or "I HEARD they only had 2 dudes at their meeting!"
Well, relax fellas. The fact of the matter is that the Storm has ALWAYS secured fields to play on and has ALWAYS had a fine core of returning veterans on both sides of the ball. In other words, all of the the rumors/accusations are starting to settle and it is time to get your butts to the tryout and find out for yourself that the Storm will be just fine.

Let's go ahead and state the obvious. "Growing pains" are inevitable when there is a change at the top of ANY organization. Success is NEVER assured, but failure is not an option. Those are lessons Chris and the rest of the leadership has learned well in the off season and they are ready to move ahead.

It really is as simple as that; Case closed. Sorry to disappoint the naysayers but it looks like Weeks has the Storm poised for what should be a successful '06 season.
Say what you want about the Storm but always remember that for over a DECADE, the team has built a reputation as the area's WINNINGEST, most STABLE program. Name changes aside, the Storm is, to my knowledge, the second oldest continuously operating team in the state! It is a strong legacy to build on.
No one has to reinvent the wheel here. Most of the ingredients for success were present when the team "changed hands", Chris and his coaches are doing a fine job filling in the rest of the details.
It is an exciting time for the Storm and I am sure the team and its leadership will rise to meet every challenge, just as it has in years past.

Reliable leadership and players who are totally dedicated to the team's success should be able to keep the Storm on top for years to come.

Good luck at tryouts fellas!

I don't know who made this post but I could not agree more. I know last season was my first with the Storm but I think things are moving in the right direction. As with any team looking to compete for a championship there can always be improvements made to last year but I think that the Storm Family has a solid foundation to build on for years to come with new ownership, first year players and a group of veteran players that now what it takes to compete at this level. I would like to add that this should and will be a great season for the Storm. I am looking to be a championship quality team this year...but it is up to use as players, coaches, and supporters. I am proud to be a part of this team and this family. I hope to see you all on the 8th.

Donald
