I wanted to know more about this person if you have any information. I believe his family descends from Macedonia, I have also been told this by numerous Romanesc. Not trying to claim him, just curious, he was an excellent Romanian footballer and with some more luck he would have taken you guys to the semi's or even finals of USA 94'.
By the way, I am aware of the views of some Romanians, mostly those who are in cahoots with the Greeks, that my people, the Macedonians are a persona non grata with you guys. I hope this isn't the case with all of you. We have many Vlachs in Macedonia and they are and alwys have been friends of the Macedonian people. Also, there is a Macedonian community in Romania too.
La Revedere, Komitadji.

First of all this about the romanians and greeks is bull****. In fact I don' think romanians like greeks very much, and about the name, you have the right to call youselvs as you like, especially considering that you live in a teritory called Macedonia.
About Hagi, well you answered the question yourself. I mean that he is one of those vlahs whose parents came in Romania at the begining of 20th century, and I bet he considers himself 100% romanian. He is aromanian - arman. They call themselves makedons. In fact it's even funny sometimes because they are very nationalistic, for example another aromanian/makedon - Gigi Becali (do a search in google, you'l find tons of information) is the leader of a nationalistic party in Romania and is very popular here ( he builds churches and helpes poor people). But he's a billionaire $ so... oh, and he is the boss of the one and only Steaua Bucharest, the best football club of eastern europe.

Thanks for the information Frate. So it is true that Gheorghe is descended from Macedonia, I hear he can also speak Macedonian also. We have a hero in Macedonia of Vlach origin who was called Pitu Guli, are these types of names common in Romania today?
Here is some information about Macedonians in Romania, not sure if you know about the Macedonian community in your land.
The Macedonians from Romania are a Slavic, Orthodox population that came from Macedonia's territory in several migration waves starting with the eleventh century. The Macedonians are a recognized national minority in Romania since 2000. The Macedonia village (Timis county) is one of the first Macedonian settlements in Romania, documented by Catholic Church records in 1332-1337 under the name of Machadonia. Nicodim from Tismana (1340-1406), born in Prilep, Macedonia, came from the Athos mountain with a group of Macedonian, Greek, and Armani/Vlach monks and together built several monasteries: Tismana, Vodita, Prislop,Visina, etc. Sanctified in 1767, he is commemorated on December 26 th.
For Macedonians, whose country was a Ottoman province, Walachia represented an ideal of social and religious freedom. Therefore, many waves of migration have come to Romania, even during the nineteenth and the twentieth centuries. For Macedonians, the fight of the Romanian people against foreign occupations became their own fight, taking part in Mihai Viteazu's fight against the Turks, in Tudor Vladimirescu's revolt, as well as other wars for freedom and keeping the Orthodox religion.

Do you have any proof?

I do not speak Romanian but I know a few words and sentences, and I am not a Vlach, I am Macedonian, but I do have Vlach friends in Macedonia, mostly from Krusevo where I have family. They are good people and live well with Macedonians, they have all minority rights, churches in their own langauge, e.t.c, they are happy and good citizens of Macedonia and are welcome in Macedonia, they have been there since Roman times.
As for the proof that you seek, considering you are from Romania(or as you suggest) then why ask proof from me? The details were taken from a Romanian information website, you should ask Romania for proof if they are claiming this.
By the way, if my intention was to argue with a Greek about my identity I could do it on any other forum, I am sure that the Romanesc are more than capable to speak for themselves rather than having a Greek do the talking for them. As explained by the other (real) Romanian poster above, they are not too crash hot on Greeks themselves, but I did not come here to discuss Greeks or Macedono-Greco relations.
Domnul Vultur, pentru dialogo, a permite mie de vorbi cu Romanesc in liniste (apologies to real romanians about any grammatical errors)
I came here to discuss matters with Romanians, not "greeks" from Romania.

As for this...
I've said something to that offended you?
I've said something about your nationality?

Maybe is my mistake.
I've just understanded that your people have fought in Romania.
I've never hearded this before and i've attend a romanian school.
So...
about your questions...
Yes, i live in Romania. :D
Yes, i'm greek!
No, i'm not pure or 100% greek.
Yes, i'm part romanian.

{I've said something to that offended you?
I've said something about your nationality?}
No you did not, and I apologize if I came across as overly accusative, but most Greeks begin their greeting and conversations with me by denying my identity, your fellow Greeks are partly responsible for my initial reaction become a Macedonian seldom meets a Greek on the net who does not begin to attack within the first few lines. Mainly, my words to you were the way they were due to the fact that you asked for proof of something that comes from a country which you say you come from. I don't live in Romania, and I cannot be expected to know the exact details of each Macedonian emigrant community.

The smaller minorities rarely get a mention, I on the other hand have heard of Macedonians assisting the Romanians in some uprisings but I do not have detailed information on the subject. You are in a better position to attain such information.
{In your country there are many that speek or understand romanian?}
Not many, but where there are Vlachs Macedonian and Aromanian are spoken alternatively. Indeed, the Macedonian government encourages the Vlachs to preserve their unique characteristics, this is why we give them their own churches, their own time-slots on TV, education in their own langauge if they choose it as a subject in schooling, e.t.c. Macedonians are appreciative and very repsectful towards our Vlachs because they have alwyas been our friend s and have always fought for our Macedonia to stay as one land. Pitu Guli is one of the most celebrated figures in Macedonian history, and he is a Vlach, who fought shoulder to shoulder with Macedonian komiti against the Turks. My family members have very clsoe friends who are Vlachs, Kurshevo is a beautiful example of how Macedonians and Vlachs live as one people. By the way, in Macedonia, Vlachs are recognized as Vlachs, unlike Greece where there are many soldout and Hellenized Vlachs and where for those that wish to preserve their cultural there is no provision. Macedonia and Macedonians respect the Vlachs as their own people, the same cannot be said in Greece. thessaly was once nearly all Vlach along with much of Epirus, is is no longer so due to Greece's assimilation policies.

Hagi is either Macedonian or Aromanian. His parents come from Kavala, Aegean Macedonia. Hagi also didn't want to play against Macedonia so its obvious he has feelings for Macedonia. I've also heard that when his drunk he sings Makedonsko Devojce.

Hey, sorry for writing in Macedonian on the Romanian forum, I was telling my friend that Macedonians in Romania enjoy all the minority rights as well as the Aromanians, Vllachs in Macedonia. One of the biggest Macedonian revolutionary against the Turks in the Ilinden Uprising, Pitu Guli was a Vllach. There are lots of Vllachs in the small mountain town called Krushevo. It's interesting that the Vllachs are one of the richest people in Macedonia and even though they are very few they run most of the businesses. Some even compare them with the Jews, but I wouldn't do that.

Aromanians are Romanians and they're land is called Romania . Why do you think they're called Aromanians ? he doesn't have anything to do with Macedonia .
Yes, but there are Aromanians, also called Vlachs or Vlavs, that live in Macedonia. One of the biggest Macedonian revolutionaries and a hero Pitu Guli was Aromanian, Vlach. Greetings.
