Hogya van, Arabsperna? Merhaba!

I am Miklós from Budapest. I am Hungarian and I don't feel geneticly near to Turks. It is true, my nation came from Ural, BUT we became Europeans, we are a nation from Central Europe. You are nation fro Middle East. You occupied my country for a long time. It is stupid to take yu in the European Union. Your workers are invading German towns. Minorities have no rights in your country (Kurds, Armenians, Syriacs). What do we have in common then? Read the Hungarian constitution and Turkish one. You will see the difference. Europe and Middle Ages. See you.
You can visit my country, Budapest, for example. You will see cultural town order. Your towns are dirty and people kill themseves.

How stupid post! Do you know what kerem means, dear Turkey. My village was burned in Turkish time. I saw what you did in Kurdistand. We don't speak about genocide of Armenians, Arabs, Greeks and Balcanic nations. You consider yourselves a nation of peace? You make me smile. First learn Hungarian mentality and our language. We are not nationalists. But Turkey is not Europe. Don't call Hungarians "morons". You are just a piece of Turkish ****t.

Dear Turk,

This forum seems to be visited by many strange people... Please do not judge Hungarians by this group. You came to this site with a friendly opening, and for some reason I cannot comprehend, these folks started on the aggressive side. Yes, they are Hungarians also. But not everyone is like that.

If you come to Hungary, you will see that people (at least most of them) will be nice.

Best regards,

There is plenty of Turks in Hungary. They are driving their dirty trucks and they are not white, but black like night. Just come and see our fine highways (our highwas are better than British, because we like order), and it is full of not intelligent smelling Turks driving their cheap and bad goods into Europe. Make business in Syria, Lebanon or Iraq. It is your region and culture. Hungary is European and rich country like Greece, Armenia, Germany or Israel. Don't mixture us with Turks. Your place is in Asia, dear Mongolians.

Dear Hungarian friends,

Jó nápot. Buna ziua. Hallo, I think we could agree on this point. I know that there were some problems between Romanians and Hungarians, but in the end our nations have to keep good relations based on European values. I am studying Hugarian language and culture at the university in Bucharest and I believe that our nations will find common way of living. Speaking about Turks it is different. We have bad experience with them. Many Armenians living in Romania explain us that Turkey is not good parner for EU membership. Turkey is poor country having economic problems.

Thank you, Nicolae. We have no problems with Romania. Your duke, Vlad Tepes, did well against Turks putting their heads on walls. Dracula was very good duke. That is the way we should talk with turks. We have to help Armenia, Georgia, Kurdistan and Assyria, because they are Europeans like we are. Turks can move to Mongolia on their horses.

Arabsperma,

Just stop it, alright? Keep to turkish forum. If hungarians dont like turks, its not your concern.

There is a saying in hungary that no hungarian is without turkish blood (because of the occupation). This is your legacy; rape and murder. I do not hate turks but I sure understand those who do.

And Nicolae, its good that you want good relations with hungary, nut that will never happen before the Szekelyföld is granted autonomy.

Don't care about these net-crusaders, I'm a hungarian but I love Turkey. It was very good feeling to find a road in Istanbul city center with the name Macar Kardeşler Caddesi. Araby,

First, I'd wish for you to stop calling anyone who doesn't share your opinion ignorant.

Second, I am hungarian and have hungarian friends; you have hungarian friend (the brit?). I do not exaggerate when I tell you that there is a general feeling of malice among the hungarians towards turks. Believe you me, I speak for many more hungarians than you ever could; I do not try to tell you of turkish opinions.

Third, of course I can't hinder you from writing here, I just feel that agitating (you are very aware that this is what you're doin')us is unnecessary...

Fourth, I think it's sad that you always seem to resort to calling everyone "pathetic" and "get a life", when you are the one person who spends the most time in this forum.

You know more than most Hungarians... Hearing about it, reading about it, isn't the same... It's like reading the papper on the same issue from different papers, you hear the person views who is writing it... Quote who ever you want, it's mute...

You have to live it !!!

My family in the 2 WW, had everything stolen by the Romanian Army, while my Grandfather fought with the Germans in France at the end of the war... They came in and raped women in our villiage. And they were our allies at the being of the war. They're worse then the Italians, regarding honourable country...

Regarding Romanians, give me a couple of drinks my views change as well. Regarding what you know and what I know, don't even bother me with that issue...

All I'm expressing is, you can't judge a race of people to be all the same...

im not speaking for hungarinas mate - dont get so defensive, i couldnt give a sh.it what happened to your small little nation, im just calling SOME people pathetic and saying "get a life" because they need to - not because they spend too much time on this forum like you seem to suggest is the reason why i am "sad" but because they dont know fully about the topic they are talking about - for example YOU saying such sweeping and generalising statements about Turks...
Again, you are generalising on the basis of a few comments... I dont call EVERYIONE anything...

We are in the 21st century, and what happened 6-700 years ago is not 100% clear to any of us. Wars were fought, people were killed. Always in the name of islam, shaman, christianity, judaism....My personal opinion is the reason was always the same: human greed! We call it money today.

Turkey is not dirty, and her people are not filthy enemies like some friends here claim. Hungary, in the minds of my many many Turkish friends is a symbol of high culture, bravery in the face of oppression (against USSR) and better track on human rights than many supposedly "good" EU members.

I am Turkish. I cannot believe the racist and aggressive posts that I read here. Where is your sense of decency and high regrads for humanity? All humans are alike, and all humans are equal, regardless of whatever cliches we try to imprint on them. Religion-nation-race-color...these are all immaterial.

Only one thing matters: We must thank God (Allah-Christ-Yahweh- please choose, and if u are atheist, it is also ok)for creating us, and we must try to make this world a better place fopr our children and ourselves...

Someones to deny their own genuine... I'm thinkin three things about them...

1 - They r not MAGYAR.. They can't be magyar or Turk (maybe greek, armenian, kurd, serbijan but never magyar or (TURK))

2 - They r doing neo- nationalism (This is meaning unscientific and blindly wrong stupid nationalism)

3 - They r doing 2nd choice as knownly and they r traitorous (This mean they thinkin of personality, what will benefit oneself personal )

The all of the world is know (if you erase Turks from history, there are no history)...

The new - age scientists are saying which word is near their own personality...
But if you r look at the history you'll see...Today's Pan-Turkist ideologys name is Turan. And so many people living in Magyaristan (or Hungary) at the name of TURAN... So many Turks name is Attila or Atilla. did you see any Turk at the name of Yorgos or Hans or Peter???Whatever scientific documents r saying at us Magyars origin is Turkic This is writing in the chineese documents...

Some ones is saying in here "We're (Huns) originally europans" I can say only one thing for this F..K YOU LOL (You r laughed me anymore) Magyars is came to Europa from the middle asia...

And same time Turks Especially are not want to join EU ...(Evil Union). Just a few moron politician is trying for this and they will regret because Real Turks (Not Kurds, Greeks, Armenians, Lazs) have some criters...

And some GIRLS are saying in here "Turks are behaviour for ladies like animals" huh???

R u know???...

When europeans living dark age (when women burn for they r witches) Turkish women can divorce their husbands.

When eurpean women can't go to out of house Turkish womens ( Sabiha Gökçe) to become worlds first woman pilot.

When eurpean women seeing violence from their husband Turkish womens can voting (And firstly Turkish women take this right...)

Whatever I didn't judge my magyar brothers my words to our traitorous... See ya...

It is nice to read these hungarian comments on Turks!!!

what do hungarians and Turks have in common???
yeah they are both originally Asians, but that's all!!!

hungarians adopted european culture cause they were open-minded for it and therefore are european.
turks on other hand are primitive people, killed millions of christian people or abused them, closed themselves for European culture, therefore they still live in middle ages.
I visit Hungary and hungarian people are very civilised, clean and civilised people something we can not say about Turks!!!
Budapest has beautiful architecture comparising with other balkan cities like indeed Athens or others...
this is because you were free to develop you own culture and knowledge, something we in GReece couldnt cause of 400 years of Turkish/Muslim opression, that is why Athens is full of modern buildings or neo-classical buildings...and still Greece is backward in many other ways....Ionian islands on other hand were never under Turkish occupation, but under italian/ venetian and have therefore more elegance and style!!

Hi Turks!

Turkey is a wonderful and amazing country - or more countries. There is a very interesting mix of ancient, antique, asian and western culture. I had spent some weeks near Antalya, the most prosperous part of Turkey. People were tolerant, very nice and friendly. They like Magyars, it is sure. We should not forget the clean fact: Hungaro-Turkish connections in the past have a multiple character - sometimes malignity, sometimes alliance, sometimes war, sometimes cooperation. But it is sure - Turks and Magyars have and had nearly the same history. Two great nations with a glorious history. Turks supported Hungarian revolutions against Austria. After the Rákóczy revolution (1703-1711) and the big Hungarian revolution (1848-1849) many immigrant soldiers, politicians and generals fled to the Ottoman Empire. Turkish conquests was featured by religous tolerancy - OK, Turkish economy was never on the top.
The Kingdom of Hungary and the Ottoman Empire is over - we have to recover from the big shock of our preceding century. Turkey have a great future - but only in the EU. Bring it on Turkey!

I live in a town that was under turkish occupation, namely Pécs. There are several buildings, both standing and ruins, that are of Turkish origin, and all i have to say is that i'm glad we preserved them, it adds flavour to our town, it is a part of our history. For example in the main square there is a mosque built by the first pasha of pécs Gazi Khassim, they demolished the St Bartholomew church that was standing there, i am just glad that after the turkish occupation the jesuits (who came to own the building) didn't demolish that Mosque, as today it is an emblematic symbol of my town (it became a catholic church though). On most postcards picturing Pécs it is there. Our histories intermingled at many occasions, and i think this should be cherished. Time heals all wounds, and I see no reason why we should have any animosity between our nations, because of what happened centuries ago. Turkish occupation was probably bloody, probably harsh on hungarians, but ages have passed, and times have changed. To hate a nation on the basis of that seems pretty stupid to me, well i regard all forms of hate counterproductive, cooperation (on equal terms, mutually beneficial) is always the way to go. Just think of the Park of Turkish-Hungarian Friendship at Szigetvár. It was made by a Turkish sculptor Metin Jurdanur, it shows Zrínyi Miklos and Süleyman side by side.

http://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szigetv%C3%A1r

And if you want to take a peek at the Mosque in Pécs, there is virtual tour (it needs java). There is button labeled info, click that and icons to descriptions and pictures become visible, if you click on a description and nothing happens just enable popups for the site. I think it's a nice town, explore it
