Next spring my wife and I plan to make a visit to Hungary. It will be my first trip back to my homeland since I was 5 years old, so I expect it will be a bit emotional.

We will spend some time in Budapest and also visit my stepbrother in Miskolc. Can any of you tell me other places of interest to visit. I'm particularly interested in historical and cultural spots.

budapest is beautiful, but the people are, in my opinion different from magyars in general.

i recommend balatonfüred for the best rétes on the planet and veszprem for all the historical monuments and artifacts. also bratislava, if its a possibility; its the most beautiful city in the world..
