I saw one of the Chryslers on the freeway the other day. It looks so much like that super high Bentley in my rear view mirror. I guess you could buy a Chrysler, get some Bentley badges and make a Chrysler/Bentley. And I bet you could fool a lot of people who would think it was the real thing. But what it comes down to it's still just a Chrysler it's not a Bentley. Why not just buy the Chrysler and if someone thinks it looks somewhat like a Bentley good, but you know that you love the Bentley but you could not afford one. So you bought a Chrysler because it has the same styling and feel as the Bentley, You are paying homage to the Bentley.
This is the same with many fine watch companies who make a watch that looks like and has the feel of another fine watch. They pay homage to a design, to a look, to a style, but the put their own name on their homage watch. Wearing it shows you have good style and good financial sense.
