I wanted to briefly share with you my experiences with purchasing a poljot watch directly from russia from EBay Seller a-german-in-russia (EBay Shop russia and more).
On 25.3. I bought a Poljot Kirova Watch via EBay. In addition I have requested after the purchase whether the seller can sell me a pilot watch strap fitting the watch. The seller responded that a watch band like the image I sent him would be available in standard size
28.3. Purchase via Paypal
1.4. - 14.4 approx 8 EMails to seller asking him when a delivery could be expected. No answer to any of the Emails despite sendeing several deadlines
19.4. Paypal EMail Complaint to seller - no response
24.4. 2. Paypal Message to seller - no response
27.4. Paypal - dispute opened
29.4. reply from seler that he was not able to reply because he was in hospital. Watch would be now on its way
I have (unfortunatly) cancelled to dispute in response to sellers email
Interestingly the seller did leave around 30 feedbacks to his transactions in April. Why didnt he reply to my EMails with a very brief EMail????????
Around 20.5. Watch at customs. Had to go there and pay 20% customs and tax
Unfortunately the ordered pilot strap was not included - I had 2 of the same straps - either a misunderstanding or the seller had forgotten in his time in the hospital
approx 23.5. EMail to seller with the request of sendeing the ordered strap instead - no answer
28.5. 2nd EMail to seller - no answer
8.6. My first negative feedback to a seller in 6 years - one day later I had in return a negative feedback from seller - the first one for me in 6 years!!
I had very good experience with poljot.at just briefly before this desaster transaction
Total delivery time took 2 months The price on total was not cheaper than what was offered at poljot.at, due to taxes. In the unfortunate case of a defect the seller recommends to send the watch to a contact address in Germany - I hope I newer have to do this...
There are many positive feedbacks for EBayer a-german-in-russia. Howver, there are also a number of EBayers who had the same experience than me including the revengefeedback left by the seller
Everybody should buy where he feels comfortable. Poljot.de, poljot.at andpoljot.ch are offering 2 years warranty. I have personally very good experience with poljozt.at - the watch comes in a nice box and the prices are comparable to the russia Ebayer. Do we really need EBay who do not respond to EMails for 2 months.
