The 15th ALH mobilised the 31st AR Battalion, CAC, CASF on 18 Mar 42 (GO 147/42). It was re-designated 31st (Alberta) Recconaisance Regiment, CAC, CASF on 8 Jun 42 (GO 455/42).
It served in a home defence role as part of Pacific Command and embarked for England on 31 Jan 45.
It was used as re-enfircements and disbanded on 15 Feb 45 (GO 231/45).
The RAM has a tunic worn by a member in NW Europe where the member left the shoulder arcs up. He apparently was pulled in as a translator and never took down the lanyard or the shoulder arcs!
