Response to M113 TUA vs. "TOW-CAP" vs. M150

3RCR didn't see the M113 TUA's until around 89, and even then there were mods to be made to them. The first Fallex they were on, AAP's TUA's were referred to as "TUTs", for "TOW Under Tarp", since they spent more time under tarps on the hardstand in Hohenfels being worked on than anywhere else. After those initial bugs were worked out they were excellent, especially when it's remembered that they were the only thermal imager -equipped vehicle in the infantry at the time.
