Yes, this is something they were working on completing for last fall. Getting a Volume number that corresponded to the name of interest was always an extra step at LAC, and they had previously refused to make their index available to researchers. My understanding was that about 10% of files had not yet been indexed, so I wonder if this might have remedied that as well.
The other details may come from LAC's internal database of all Second World War service members which I learned about last spring. With the help of LAC staff, it was very useful in verifying names/details etc. for a research project. In time, some or all of that will heopefully be available on line as well.
