Difference between the Brodie and British/Canadian WWII Mk II

I am new to Canadian WWII reenactment and would like to pose a question:

1. What is the difference between the WWI Brodie helmet and the British WWII Mk II?

2. If you put a helmet net and proper British WWII chinstrap on a Brodie will it pass?

I dont want to look farby but have noticed that its hard to find a British / Canadian Mk II helmet for reenacting; I also do not want to do Para as that impression is replicated all over the U.S. What Price Glory has a full set up for the MK II ... but its based on the Brodie shell.

I am a bit confused between the two and hope that someone can tell me the major difference between the two and if the Brodie can be worn for Canadian infantry in France (1944) if worn with a helmet net and proper straps, shell dressing, etc.

Cheers,
Steven
