Beg to differ Michael, but for the Royal Regiment of Canada (or R Regt C), the 't' is not capitalized, so their correct nomenclature is that of the Royal Regiment of Canada. On the other hand, the designation or nomenclature of the Royal Canadian Regiment was changed by Royal Accent, effective 1 July 1983, to that of The Royal Canadian Regiment or The RCR. As for "how I know this", I was RSS with the Royal Regiment of Canada in the 1980's and was also on parade with 1 RCR, when the decree was read in July 1983 regarding the "The" of The Royal Canadian Regiment nomenclature, and of the short title, The RCR.
Cheers
