Response to p82 web gear size |
| i was issued the webbing in battle school and wore it until i got out in 92. like said it was meant to be worn around the hips. not many wore it that way, most wore it like a regular web belt around the waist. as i stated i was issued it first in btl sch. i recieved a medium i had a 36/37 waist. the belt fit but was kind of small the web straps almost extended fully. alright in the summer but no good with a cbt jacket. we wore a mess tin cover on the right on the left a canteen then a fn bayonet, shoulder straps and the butt pack attached to the yoke. remember it was new and it was battle school in regiment i exchanged to a large belt, still had a 36/37 waist. the belt was great lots of room for extra pouches. standard in regiment was - going left to right ammo pouch, gas mask (attached to belt), bayonet, butt pack, canteen ammo pouch and shoulder straps. also we had a small back pack we wore with nbcw gear in it. it was worn depending what nbcw threat level it was. my personal belt order was left to right ammo pouch, bayonet, canteen butt pack, canteen, mess tin/utility poch (differant as mess tin pouch held 6 30 rds mags the utility pouch was a little larger and they didn't fit so well. in germany we wore webbing year round. petawawa/norway we wore web gear in the summer but only the gas mask in winter and no nbcw pack or gear, gas mask was worn off the belt on its straps. needed operational kit needed was put in pockets, ruck ect. |
