My friend Al Ditter wrote on another site that he was attending a meeting of 2RCR subalterns in late August. Was he there with you? Al was a Canadian Guards Captain in 2RCR in command of the third platoon of Charles Company. I think he once told me he arrived in Germany in 1969. He was there through the reorganization to 3 Mech Cdo (during which he re-badged to PPCLI then RCR within the space of a few weeks).
As well, please tell me that someone recorded all of the stories, lies, tall tales, recollections, secrets, details etc told by the attendees for posterity. Cold War history is very popular at the moment. A group like this may never get together again and I for one would hate to see all of this history lost forever.
