Stories of Local WWII Airborne Troops

On Saturday I had the privilege to have a beer with Andy Johnston at the Legion. Andy is an interesting guy. Born in Scotland just before WWII, he served as a paratrooper after the war and came to Canada after his days in army were over. In the early 70s he sang with a local Toronto band, The Poor Souls, which charted on Chum chart and then he became an editor for a magazine devouted to the stories of ex WWII British airborne troops living in Canada. Over the last year or so he gathered these stories into a book called, "Churchill's Warriors". I've had the honour to have an advance read and what a great read it is! There are a lot of very interesting stories in this book; some are funny, some are tragic, but all of them are real, written by the men who experienced being in the airborne during the war.
