Hi sounds like he is referring to the natural slope of the fuselage - not a slide. There was no slide. Anyway he seems to confirm Gary's story of a headward plunge.
The only use of a slide I know existed for sure were in B-24's in the Far East. They would slide out a hole just before the rear turret. I have photos of this taken by a rear gunner of a Flt 200 Australian Liberator.
