  • Fire Department Ladders

    • Posted Jul 2, 2012 9:32 AM

The U.S. Rangers at P. d H. used ladders that were donated to them by the London fire brigade. From memory, they were 8-10 foot long metal sections which were probably 12" wide. Pretty narrow for a combat loaded man but they did the job. The sections slip-fit together for making a longer ladder as used for the assault. Not sure if they are the same thing you're looking for but there is a good chance they would be since it was what was in use at the time in England.
