Good afternoon everyone,
My name is Glenn Williston and I'm a member of the Atlantic Canadian WWII Living History Association, we're run out of Halifax, NS and have been up and running for 3 years now.
I portray a member of the West Nova Scotia Regiment, and I am a grandchild of 2 WWII veterans who are both since passed on.
About 10 minutes ago, I stumbled across this forum while researching Canadian WWII sleeping bags, when my grandfather who served in the RCAC in Europe returned from the war, a lot of his kit was stored in the attic of my grandmother and grandfather's home and since joining this living history association, I've been lucky enough to acquire all the kit my grandfather had stored up in the attic....and one of these items, after seeing the discussion on 1950s Canadian sleeping bags, I am pretty sure that this sleeping bag I have is WWII, I have searched for any dates or broadarrow markings but can't find any. Although the bag that sleeping bag is stored in, does have a military look to it.
I would be more than happy to post any pictures of the bag, sleeping bag or anything else.
I look forward to browsing through this site and learning lots.
