A recent job posting gives new meaning to the phrase "protect and serve."
The Canadian military is looking for a clerk at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School at the Saint-Jean Garrison in Quebec.
However, the ideal candidate is likely Juan Valdez, because this clerk will be required to be an expert in coffee.
The successful applicant will "plan and prepare coffee orders, efficiently control the inventory and services of the coffee machines, gather all the money collected from the coffee machines and accordingly make the deposits to the bank," reports the Ottawa Citizen.
The clerk will also be responsible for the commanding officer's coffee each Friday. He/She will also need to accurately deliver a number of coffee orders during special functions "under tight deadlines" clearly cold coffee could be "grounds" for a court martial.
Unfortunately, it's only a part-time position, filling in for the regular clerk who is on parental leave. The salary for the role comes in at between $53,000 and $68,000 annually.
So if you are a brewmaster who is inspired to serve, now's the time to enlist and bean all that you can bean.
