WWII CANADIAN ARMOURED CORPS CAP BADGE

Hi,

Enclosed, you will find 2 pics of a WWII Canadian Armoured Corps cap badge. If you look at the back of the badge, you can see "C.56". Could someone tell me the signification of this inscription? Also, I would like to know if this badge is an original one.

Thanks,

Dick

Can't really see any inscription but a real example of a standard CAC cap badge.

Hello Dick, I can't see the C 56 either. C 56 is the catalogue number used to identify the Canadian Armoured Corps badge in D. Mazeas Canadian Badges 1920-1950.
