My experience at the Fine Arts Theatre in LA was absolutely amazing! There were so many people there; as I made my way through I noticed people having conversations, taking pictures and a few others were giving interviews. The environment was a bit intimidating; I couldn’t believe I was actually there and I remember that I kept saying to myself, “Oh my god there are so many people here.” I remember I was nervous and decided to stand on one side of wall in hopes to find Mr. Huff. That’s when I saw her; Sonya Smith was standing on the left upstage side of the lobby making a phone call. As I looked at her I couldn’t believe she was actually only a few feet away from me, it was unbelievable! Then I heard someone calling my name and it was Mr. Huff who was approaching me; at that moment I felt a bit more comfortable and was so excited to meet him. When Sonya came over to greet us I was ecstatic and in major shock! She was so sweet, and when she hugged me I wanted to cry; I couldn’t believe that she was really standing right in front of me. It almost seemed to be dreamlike! As she talked to us all I could think about was, “it’s really her, she’s really here!” The funny thing was that I was planning on asking her for an autograph, as well as, to ask her some questions, but when I met her my mind went blank. The only word my brain transmitted was, “wow, wow, wow!” The entire night I kept telling myself that I was really there and I had in fact met Sonya Smith. It was crazy! What I liked the most about Sonya was that she seemed so down to earth; she was really nice and friendly. I felt at ease when talking to her, but I have to admit, I was still stunned. When it came to taking pictures I was overjoyed! Not only did I meet and talk to my favorite actress, but I would also be taking a picture with her! When Sonya left to greet her other guests I just kept thinking about what had just happened and I couldn’t wait to see her movie. This was a delightful experience; it was even more wonderful than I had imagined.
In regards to CYXORK7, all I can say is that the movie was cool, and Sonya rules!!! The film was really funny and the scene effects were outstanding! The character of Angela LaSalle was brilliantly carried out by the beautiful and talented Sonya Smith. The emotion she transmitted on screen, as well as, the intensity she brought to her character were proof of genuine talent. It’s interesting to watch how the various characters interact with each other and how their incredible stories help make this film a hit. The movie was hilarious; everyone inside the theatre seemed to have really enjoyed themselves because the laughter just kept going from beginning to end. If you’re looking for a good laugh I’d recommend this movie, you’ll laugh your head off! What I like the most about this film is its originality and fun-filled scenes. If you get the opportunity to see it, like I did, go for it! This is one movie you can’t miss!!!
When the film ended everyone clapped as hard as they could. The atmosphere was cheerful and the enthusiasm seemed to grow even more every minute. As I walked out into the lobby I was greeted by a camera (All I could think was “Oh my God!”) I gave my opinion on the film and received a warm goodbye from Mr. Huff. I was a bit sad that I wasn’t able to say goodbye to Sonya but I will forever be thankful for having the opportunity of meeting her. Maybe some day, not too far from now, I get the opportunity to see her again and I can say goodbye this time and maybe I will no longer be in a state of shock. But I bet that no matter how many times I run into her I will be amazed every time because lets face it, it’s SONYA SMITH!!! As I think back on it, I can barely believe that just a few days ago I was with Sonya and Mr. Huff. The emotions I experienced that day will forever remain with me, and the picture taken that night will always remind me of that special day. I can honestly say this was the happiest day of my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I just want to say THANK YOU Sonya, Mr. Huff, Harini and everyone else for making a fan’s dream possible, you guys are truly wonderful people!
