Yes, Roman Villa does have the best pizza in Colorado Springs. I too think about that horrible incident that occured on that corner, but hey, they were brave and stuck it out. Roman Villa originated in Palmer Lake, CO. The owners of Roman Villa use to hire the teens of the town to stomp the grapes for wine making. I have a picture somewhere of my ex in the grape vat.
The place is still in Palmer Lake and I think it still carries the same name, but was bought out by a Californianite and it is no where that great and WOW! Very expensive. We had stopped there one time after a Mt Herman Drive, not knowing the change. So disappointed. Their lasagna tasted like a frozen dinner from Sam's Club.
As a kid, my aunt and uncle would take us there often and let us pick out a whole pizza for ourselves. Made good left overs while watching scary movies. :o
Gotta try that pizza and you'll be hooked!
