I think it was 1st grade when we all got to walk down to the corner of Platte & Circle to watch Apollo Astronauts drive by in 1970 or 1971. I don't remember which ones were there but I believe it was partially or all of the Apollo 11 crew. It makes sense, because as everyone now knows, they filmed part of the moon landing on the backside of Cheyenne MT. And, oh by the way, George W. had nothing to do that. That was his Dad, George 41 who was behind that conspiracy when he was w/the CIA & on the Tri-Lateral Commission. If only the Colo. Spgs. Sun had a Woodward & Bernstein back then!
