Hi Phil! Don't remember Gen. Palmer's steed having painted 'nads but....

I remember cruising Nevada Ave. in the late 70s. Seems like we turned a little further north of Gen. Palmer to cruise the southbound lane for chicks on Friday & Saturday nights. Maybe I hung a U turn around the Cooper 1-2-3 theater? I usually cruised as far south as Conway's Red Top....I knew I could score a great burger there at least.

"cruising for chicks" a 70s expression......

Better explain this to the new PC generation. "Cruising for chicks" did NOT mean hookers, we cruised to view and talk with girls our own age at the time. Just a term from the disco seventies sorry if it sounded bad.
Keep on truckin' good buddy. Breaker 1-9.

I don't need to explain "cruising" do I? Everyone's seen "American Graffiti" rig

It's what we did before Sony and Ninetendo invented the PC game console. Geeze, I'm feeling old trying to explain my youth.

But, the hookers did hang around the south end of Nevada, down by the 4-U Motel. Its a wonder you didn't see them, if you hung at Conways.

Must be a tad older than you as we cruised in the early 70s.

Yes, did some of that myself. It was fun back then. Can you imagine if they had the dui laws of today the amount of $$ the city and state would have made?? (not saying I was drinking and driving).

You know they rebuilt the Red Top on South Nevada...made it a lot bigger. I ate there about 3 weeks ago! Still a great burger.

Yep, quite often Gen Palmer's horse sported all kinds of colors. It normally happened when Palmer was defeated in a sport.
