Remember Giuseppe's East? I remember many things, It was 3.2 beer (only had to be 18 to drink)and it had a bar side and a restaurant side. I great place to haning out on a Friday or Saturday night.
I remember Sunday's I think it was about 4 pm they would show old Our Gang (Little Rascles) movies on a 16 mm projector. Drink beer Laugh Drink More Beer and have a great Stone Baked Pizza. I have never had garlic bread as good as the garlic bread from G's East
If anyone has any memories please post them, I have more memorits than time at this moment ( I have to go to work) I will continue later.

Actually only stopped by a couple of times.
Man, to think we drank at 18 kind of scares me LOL.
That 3.2 was ok!
(more later..I am on the run too.) and I am working on getting rid of the ads which just requires going to the paid forum version...ready to do that again.

It is now a SteakSmith ...

It is still called the Maizeland Moors Center. I once talked to a manager for one of the businesses located there and from what I recall the owner had graduated from a prestigious school back East.
Thanks for posting....more pics of the PEAK will be coming for sure!
The G's I was refering to was on the corner of Union and Bijou next to the (what was then called) Colorado Springs Cablevision and I believe Recycle Records was close also.
I went to the one that was on Academy that is now the Steaksmith and to the Depot downtown, in fact when I was visiting last summer I went to the Depot. The Garlic Bread and Pizza are not the same. G's East was still my favorite. The beer however, was still good.
After getting by the ID checker it was usually the beginning of a great night in the springs.
Remember them all. I didn't frequent the one downtown much (that was kind of far away - lol), but the one on Bijou we went to a lot. I still have two drink glasses that my boyfriend decided we needed to have. Opps, did I just tell on him.
I went to the one on Academy more with girlfriends for lunch dates. $3.00 for their a large combo loaded with beef, diced bell pepper, chopped onions, tons of black olives and loads of cheese. Yum! It had a name, and I'm trying to think what it was called. It might come to me while sleeping.
I spent many a Friday night at Giuseppe's East. I was about 20 years old, and I really soaked up those pitchers of 3.2 beer. Loved the pizza and the garlic knots. I worked at Ent AFB (now the Olympic complex) and lived in an apartment at 2020 East Bijou, across from the old Chidlaw building, and just a couple of blocks from Giuseppe's. This was back in 1969-71.
I used to eat lunch a lot at the H. Salt(?) fish and chips place around the corner from the base, not too far from G's.
Yes! H H Salt Fish n Chips was theeeeee best! Way better than Long Johns or Capatian D's. I really miss that place! $2.99 got you 3 pieces of fish, chips and a drink. My Dad worked at Ent AFB as a Civilian. Were you in the military or were you a Civilain as well? That's about the time they started to move the base to Peterson AFB.
