A BMA guide reminds doctors of their duty to protect vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect.

The BMA medical ethics department was commissioned by the Department of Health in England to produce Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults: A Toolkit for GPs.

The toolkit was produced because of widespread concern that healthcare had not engaged with safeguarding
