Response to A7V crew question ?

The German A7V Tank by Hundleby and Strassheim has a chapter on crew dress. It says most A7V crews appear to have worn standard M1910 and/or M1915 uniforms, with either jackboots or putties; some officers wore shoes with leather gaiters. Other equipment tended to consist of a gas mask cannister and a steel helmet (a few wore a tank crash helmet instead) and sometimes P 08 pistols in leather holsters.

Additionally, a coverall was issued, which was to be worn in the tank instead of the normal uniform. Most crews appear to have worn the coveralls over the uniform instead, but due to the heat it was apparently quickly discarded in favor of just the normal uniform.
