Thanks for your input Chris, judging from your description of the rather unique location of these cans (I think in fact that they are the larger, and somewhat squarer in profile,2 gallon cans and not flimsies), hanging from the reinforcing plates above the chutes, then I’m going to guess the you may be referring to Whippet A220? This tank was in fact the one that one Cecil Harold Sewell won his (posthumous) VC in.
I have made my own fuel cans (flimsies-I just like their size!) as well as grousers MG’s 303 ammunition crate (these where sometimes used for storage) etc etc etc My Whippet is now complete other than that I think will be a unique set of markings that I intend to add as well as deciding which 3rd. Battalion vehicle number to use for it. Thankfully Emhar supply enough choices that by cutting up the decals you can do almost any whippet you want! Its only a matter of putting all of the element on a base; the Whippet a model “T” Ford refueling it the Whippets crew of three and the “gas jockey” along with a “modified” Matchbox diorama base from he BT-17.
Do you like the 1/35 scale kit (its a pity its not 1/32nd then you could use the "Scale Link" figures with it)? Will you be posting pics of it?
