I’m now thinking that if they were Brit Austins then they would have side-by-side turrets, not the assymmetrical 'Russian' style.

Then I remembered these photos I’d seen; smashed up Austins on a road near ‘Bony’ (according to the captions). Wonder if Bony is near Amiens? Can’t make out any unit ID on these, but one does seem to be in two colours in the manner you describe. What do you think?
